The concept of the sanctity of life is broader than anti-abortion. It includes not killing hundreds of thousands of non-combatents in an unjust war. It also includes not using capital punishment especially when we've seen so many of death row (aptly named) proved to be innocent by modern DNA testing. The Democratic party is termed by some here as the Party of Death it only includes death of the unborn. Actually, it was the Republican party which gave us the court which passed Roe vs. Wade so this isn't true.

The Republican party is the party of death for the born.

While some of what you say may be true it means little since an unjust war has not happened in recent years.

The left outlawed DDT, and 30 million Africans have died from malaria, since.

Repubs still have a way to go.

And it's the left who keeps abortion off the ballot, despite your rants to the contrary.....

And the bleeding heart liberals have forgotten what our enemies did on 9-11...
And before you say Iraq didn't have anything in it... I watched parties on the streets in Iraq because we were hit....

Women, children and men dancing around with their barbaric sounds of laughter, laughing at us while our men and women were being burned to death in office buildings, and on planes...

The party of death is the one that wants to pull out and dishonor all the vets that have sacrificed their blood in this war...
The Party of death wants to forfeit everything to our enemies...

But what is new.. .the Party of Death have sacrificed their Christian conscience on the altar of free choice to kill the unborn babies...

A Christian that votes for a pro abortion candidate has put their politics and wallets before God.

God will laugh at the Christians that vote to kill babies on Nov. 4th when they stand in church the next Sunday and blaspheme his great name by singing praise to him... How can a Christian support killing the innocent by choice and sing praises to God?...

God will not accept their worship that Sunday..
If you vote pro abortion stay home from church the next Sunday... you will be hindering true worship.

    NO... better yet...
Go, and fall on your face for forgiveness! for the blood of innocent babies will be on your hands...

    You have been warned.

Baloney! We do what has to be done. It's not easy. It doesn't always go smoothly. It can take longer than we'd like. It costs lives - dead and wounded - and money. The war in Iraq was fully justified by both the USA through it's Congress and by the UN. Yes, the President acted quickly and, yes, it seems the intelligence was off with respect to the status of WMD at the time. But it followed more than 10 years of other efforts which in turn followed a previous fight with the same regime. Saddam was a saber ratling threat to us all and he got what he deserved. We'd seen his prior use of WMD. He proved he was capable of invading his neighbors and killing his own. We'd tried to get Saddam to permit the full inspections to confirm he wasn't rebuilding the program and he refused. We can believe that had we not intervened he would have continued. Regardless, the war in Iraq is - despite all the nay sayers - ending up to be a success. It will be up to the Iraqis to make it last when we finally leave it.

Can't we all just stop with the name-calling and discuss facts?

So you believe that the sanctity of life only applies to the unborn? I beg to differ and so does the Bible.

You mean facts like we're broke and can't afford to be the world's police force any longer? Yet both candidates for the office of president of the United States act as if we're rolling in dough and would keep doling it out to their friends in the welfare/warfare state the UN and every country on the planet that "needs our help" faster than Govcorp Inc. can print it out of thin air?

    Question for Dragoon.

Now that you've witnessed the "bailout" do you know where I'm coming from when I use the term Govcorp Inc.?

If we are not the cops, who will be? (Because somebody will be--power vacuums lead to worse situations.)

    Russia?

    China?

    NATO (without us?)

In the bailout I see socialism and a belief that government has all the answers. It will cost dearly in more than one way.

How are we going to remain the world's police when we're broke? At this moment we are a nation who cannot even clothe itself. We have to import our clothing, our manufacturing base has shrunk to the point of disappearing if it isn't turned around soon, and we're quickly becoming dependent on other nations to feed us.

We can either have an empire of military bases and multiple endless wars or we can have a republic. We can't have both anymore.

So take your pick Major. Which is it going to be?

    Baloney.

Who is threatening the republic, other than the bad guys we are after? (And, of course, ACORN, with its massive voter fraud. I wonder why they did not register the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders too?)

I have not seen any naked people running around, other than Hollywood actresses going to awards shows.

The reason we went international after WW2, and have stayed that way, was this: isolationism does not work. Either we get involved at times and places of our choosing, or we sit on our blessed assurances, and then get forced into war at times and places of other peoples' choosing. We always end up costing ourselves more, in terms of money and blood.

Let me assure you of this: O-BA-MA will not remove the troops from Iraq one second sooner than McCain would.

    Good for you.

Tell me that lie again about the "hundreds of thousands" we have killed in Iraq.

I really enjoy that one. I'm just surprised anyone is ignorant enough to keep spreading it.
