    Oh brother.......

Please, EG, we can do without that kind of support. I do not want you speaking for me. I took thousands of showers while serving, amongst gays even.

Curtis, you;re fighting a losing battle. EG and his ilk still think you can get AIDS from a doorknob.

We may be on the same side of this issue, and I don't want to sound too pious, but I don't think we should put words in his mouth, or speculate what he thinks, and make a statement like that. I wouldn't appreciate it, and from what I've seen, it would probably ruffle your feathers, as well. :flower:

    So, what is going on?

Have the conservatives gone on to other boards? Do we now have more liberals?

Have our Christians just become that liberal?

I think part of the reason is a redefining of conservative and liberal.

When someone is called a liberal for being a strict constructionist and not wanting the constitution tampered with we are dealing with new definitions.

It seems here that to some folks a liberal is "anyone who does not believe like me."

To get off topic justa little:

C4K, what is a DepAdmin? I just noticed that under your pic. Does it stand for Deputy Administator? Did you get a pay increase with the title? A new badge? Have a nice day.:wavey:

Limited admin powers, no pay wise, no badge ;).

We needed someone with admin powers to take quick action on threads and do emergency bans when trolls begin posting highly objectionable materials. We needed someone on a different time zone who could do this while the real admins were asleep ;).

    Thats all ;).

    Prayer good, murder bad.

Again, if a man propositioned me, I would pray and talk to him about the Lord right there...unless I was in the shower, then I might have to put my undies back on first.

Funny though, I've never had that problem. Go figure.

Maybe if the military only let in fat guys like me, this wouldn't even be a discussion.

Attempted rape in the shower is a separate issue from, "hey buddy, I'm gay, are you?" If a soldier kills someone over something like that, then he does not have the kind of temperment that a soldier of these United States should have. If he can't control himself over a simple question/comment, how can he be expected to maintain control when yelled at by senior officers or faced with a surrendering enemy who 5 minutes earlier had shot his buddy?

If I'm a liberal for thinking that a person should not be killed simply for asking a question, then I guess I'll just have to be a liberal on this issue.

Now, if there is an attempted rape in the shower, which is not, I believe, what the other thread was referring to, or if so, no one ever said so straight up, then I believe there are extenuating circumstances and the man who was victimized has the right to defend himself, even up to and including killing the assailant, if that is necessary.

I don't, however, believe this is an issue in the military.

Are there figures anywhere on the number of homosexual rapes that have occured within the armed forces? Especially during shower time?

I'll guarantee you that there are a whole lot more heterosexual rapes that occur in the military that aren't even in the shower.

Then you certainly can't complain if someone offends you and it is not dealt with.

Not a moderator here is omniscient.
