You sound like some of those tea party hicks hollering about keeping the government out of their Medicare! What a riot!

    And it is continuing...

Obama is setting aside 187,000 square miles for polar bears which will place further restrictions on off shore drilling for gas and oil.

That would be a square just over 432 miles long on each side. I don't think this small piece of land will stop oil exploration.

Well, be sure just to keep riding you bicycle so we wont need that oil, and you cant use any plastic, and how about this list of about 150 items. So do you swear to stop using all those items for the polar bears?

It is not a square area - it runs along the coast.

Sigh! I said it is the SIZE of a square, not that is was one, of course you knew that, didn't you.

My point, which you also knew, was that this is not much of an area to be concerned with.

What you actually said was "That would be a square just over 432 miles long on each side. I don't think this small piece of land will stop oil exploration."

Since the 187,000 is a strip running down the coast - it would impact a much larger area off shore where the drilling would be banned.

Don't be embarrassed though - liberals usually work off of feelings rather than facts or information - so your error is natural.

This is true for most Americans, except that they don't hate to admit it, they just don't know they're Socialists.

Let's say you own a 1,500 square foot house that is 50'x30'. Let's say that the government decides that you can't use 160 square feet of this house. That's just a small portion of your 1,500 square foot home, right?! You'd be ok with that, right? Let's also say that the 160 square feet just happened to be around the perimeter of your house, making it so that you couldn't enter or exit your house. You'd be ok with that, right?!

Saw an interesting blurb with Sarah Palin on ANWAR. Seems that about 95% is barren plains.

What do the enviro-wackos use to promote their agenda?

Right, that 5% pristine area with Animals and Mountains.

Which, BTW, has nothing whatsoever to do with Oil Production or Transfer...

But, that tiny area has placed all new Oil Production and some older Oil Production in the area of wishful thinking.

Matt you've provided a very apt and practical example!
