What do these people do with all that money?
I do agree that many corporations have a tendency to forget the important people (those of a lesser status) who are part of making the big wheels roll but it is still their money and we have no say in how they handle it.

None of us know how we would actually use an enormous amount money if we were in the same situation but I would rather be blessed by God with spiritual riches than to be blessed by man with earthly riches.

People get paid based on how much money they can make. Now its to bad that every truck driver, janitor, road worker, etc. can not make millions of dollars a year but that is not how the world works. Money is not handed out just to be handed out.

Obviously this guy is good enough at what he does to be worth that kind of money to somebody.

Well, that's one theory. Another is that these guys sit on each other's boards of directors and decide the going rate - paid for by the stockholders who don't have much say concerning compensation.

If their stocks were not making them money then they would not be stockholders. If there were no stockholders and the company did not make money the CEOs would be without a job.

If I was to give you shares of Disney and Coke would you turn them down because the CEO makes to much money.

Typically, the rich get richer for doing the things that got them rich in the first place. Things like getting an education, working long and hard, going the extra mile, etc.

Typically, the poor get poorer by doing the same things that got them poor to begin with. Things like not getting an education, doing the minimum, working 9-5 - when working, etc.

I cannot wait for the Lord to let your CEO lay you and your friends off so that he (she) can make a big bonus because they are doing you a favor.

If you think that 'education' is what makes people rich.

I would like to meet your 'rich' pastor.

You do pay him for his education, right?

First, it is the bottom half that makes the top half possible. It is the nature of mathematics. Someone will always be on the bottom.

Second, As Rabbi Danial Lapin says, " 'Poor" means you wake in the morning and don't know if you will eat that day." The USofA is the country where poor people die of to much food.

Third, there is no excuse for being poor (except recent catastrophy or mental inability) in the USofA in post war WW2 because we have had the best working conditions since Adam got kicked out of the Garden.

Fourth, the nature of "poverty" has changed. Poor people have the same sorts of consumer goods that rich people have but at a lesser quality. No sane person has to miss a meal or freeze to death.

Fifth, Illegal Mexicans can sneek in, find jobs, and send $hundreds back to family in Mexico while native born American welfare slugs can't find a job.

A great example of people get paid based on how much money they bring in.

Except, there is an old saying that blows your theory out of the water, Deejay - it's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know.

Or what someone is willing to do to get where they want to be. There is a lot of trampling and trashing on people as someone makes the desperate climb to the top of the corporate / success ladder. Ask Donald Trump's first ex-wife.

I don't think anyone get's rich working for their money, one usually get's rich letting their money work for them. This formula means it takes money to make money. The exception is those with a rare gift/talent like professional sports or actors.

Either way, I would like him to walk up to a lumber jack and tell him that it is his job to carry the rich on his shoulders.

It would be fun to watch his reaction.

While you were making fun of the working class . . . you thought it funny.

When the joke was played back on you . . . you considered it to be wishing you ill . . . I reckon then that you really did not consider your attitude to be funny after all.

    Oh well.
