Like low unemployment and low inflation and keeping us from being attacked again?

There are some issues I have with President Bush and the GOP. I don't like Bush's cozing up to Putin and I don't like the border problem but not due to Hispanics coming here but terrorists getting in.

Bush has done a good job as President for a man who was President during the worst attack in our history. In spite of the hit on our economy, the nation has done well under his leadership. An economic hit, a war in Afghanistan and a war in Iraq, could have easily crushed us economically. But, they didn't, thanks to Bush's leadership.

Additionally, Bush has done more for blacks than any other President in history. He has appointed more blacks to high offices than any other President and has done more to fight AIDS and malaria in Africa than any other President.

It is my personal take that history will be good to Bush in the final analysis.

    Knock it off!

You know good and well that democrats believe bad news for America is good news for democrats when a Republican occupies the White House.

They'll hope for things like high unemployment , high inflation, and a recession if it brings them back to power. Not a terrorist attack though.

They know how vulnerable they are on terrorist issues.

They might even hope for one of those if they felt they could absolutely pin it on Bush, but they know they're the ones who keep trying to dismantle his security efforts.

Yes, we certainly don't want Hillary as she will go after her political enemies via the IRS like Bill did.

Did you see the figures about inflation last month?
Have you see that gas will probably hit $4.00 a gallon this summer?
Have you seen what has happened to the value of the dollar?
Have you notices that some foreign companies are now demanding payment in Euros and not dollars?
Did you see the article today on the coming rise in food costs announced by the USDA?
The list goes on and on.

The foolishness of the last 8 years is catching up with us.

Eight years and 2 months is matched against the final ten months of Bush's administration. Wow, now that's scholarship.

A president's character is very important. A man needs character because, once in office, we can never know what the country will face. If McCain is as blind to his own faults as this column indicates, we had better examine his character. George Will is not engaging in character assisination with this column. He is exposing Mccain's character as a fair topic for debate.

There is not one righteous, no not one. The difference between the righteousness of Democrats and Republicans cannot be detected with an electron microscope. They are both pond scum, self indulgent pigs at the expense of the American people.

    Debt

The problems are surfacing before Bush leaves office. I am sure he was hoping they would not appear until after he left office and then the next president would be blamed. Seems he will go down in history nor only as a disaster in foreign policy, but in domestic policy and economics also.:tonofbricks:

Don't you find it odd that these problems began to surface AFTER the Democrats regained control of Congress?

Like spending $1T on a war that is unjust and doing nothing in the aftermath of 9/11.

If McCain is blind to his own faults, then he's in good company with most other politicians.

You're giving Bush too much credit again. It's not like the man is a dictator and we're his mindless puppets. We the people put him in office. We the people elected the other politicians who help run our country.

Did you reasearch the number of unborn babies killed this month?
Have you noticed that the homosexuals are forcing their agenda on our country?
Do you care that our kids are being taught secularism in school?
Have you noted that people can spend hours in front of a tv but can't sit and hour in church on Sunday?
Do you see Christians voting for their pocketbook instead of for their morals?
Hmm. I wonder if those things are important anymore.

The Bible says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." The reason our country is having trouble is because we have allowed sin to take over. Maybe our nation will have to see more problems before we turn back to God and put our priorities in order.
