I came back to Baptist Board on purpose, but found very little going on at this moment ... in the domain where I am restricted to work 'cause I'm a believer of the Word, "ONE baptism" and "feast of SABBATHS' ". Nevertheless thank you, Baptist Board! I am truly grateful. May God bless you for allowing this rebel this opportunity to open up his heart once more on these cyber pages.

My time may be running out fast; only God knows…

I came back with a purpose to let the Word of God be heard "THUS CONCERNING THE SEVENTH DAY GOD SPAKE ... IN THESE LAST DAYS ... BY THE SON ...", that "GOD THE SEVENTH DAY" IN THE “SON OF MAN”, "RESTED", "WHEN HE RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD", "SABBATH'S".

I cannot let pass by one opportunity I am granted to this end. "Man has got to do his sacred duty", as said Einstein.

I came back with a purpose to let the Word of God be heard "THUS CONCERNING THE SEVENTH DAY GOD SPAKE ... IN THESE LAST DAYS ... BY THE SON ..." AS WELL AS THROUGH THE PROPHETS, at this time, the prophet Isaiah ...

I pray I receive much participation and critique --- which is most welcome and invited cordially.

But where do Sabbaths fit into Christian theology?

    "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross;
And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ."(Col.2)

You are not quoting Scripture. You are putting bits and pieces of Scripture together to try and support an unbiblical theology. You cannot show one verse in all of Scripture where Gentile believers in this generation are commanded to keep the Sabbath, can you? I have given you that challenge before, and you have failed miserably each time. There is no command in all of Scripture where Gentile believers are to keep the Sabbath Day.

I know ive posted these scriptures before commanding new testament believers to keep the sabbath

    DO YOU WANT ETERNAL LIFE
MATT.19 [16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?[17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.[18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

    DO YOU KNOW GOD
1 JOHN 2 [1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT “JUST BELIEVE” AND YOU WILL BE SAVED
JAMES 2 [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, and tremble.

    DO YOU LOVE GOD
1 JOHN 5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

DO YOU WANT GODS HOLY SPIRIT
JOHN 14 [15] If ye love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

HAS HEAVEN AND EARTH PASSED – YIKES! WHAT AM I STANDING ON?
MATT.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

WANT TO BE ONE OF GODS SAINTS
REV.14 [12] Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of God, and the faith of Jesus

BEEN TAUGHT DUE TO FAITH WE NEED NOT KEEP GODS COMMANDMENTS
ROMANS 3 [31] Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

WANT TO ENTER THE CITY - THE 1000yr PERIOD OF REST
REV.22 [14] Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city

IS GODS SABBATH COMMANDMENT GRIEVOUS TO YOU
1JOHN.5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.[3] For this is the love of God, that WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: AND HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS.

JAMES 2 [10] For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE IS GUILTY OF ALL.[11] For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.[12] So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

New testament believers are commanded to keep the 10 commandments. Alls ya gotta do now DHK is read the 4th. Heres a challenge for you. Show me any where in the new testament where scripture says man is allowed to change Gods day of rest. His 4th commandment. Could you imagine how many books would be written in the bible on this subject if what you claim were true. Yet...not a word

Read the Bible. Here it is.

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. (Exodus 31:13-14)

The keeping of the Sabbath was for the Jews alone. It was a sign of the covenant made between Jehovah and Israel, and her generations forever.
Are you an Israelite? What tribe do you belong to? Do you keep the Sabbath on Saturday as commanded? Do you keep it as the Lord commands you to--no work on Saturday--no making of coffee or tea, no preparing of any food whatsoever, no turning on of electricity (equivalent to their work in their day), etc. Do you really keep the Sabbath. My guess is no. They were not even allowed to gather sticks on the sabbath. If they did they were stoned. The sticks were for fuel. You make the modern day application.

Not one verse that you quote--not one! gives a command for a Gentile believer to keep the Sabbath. You cannot point to a single command can you??

I will back door my way in maybe.

Eph. 2:11-13 Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (These Gentiles are now made nigh unto the covenants of promise. Does this include the covenant at Sinai?)
(Which contained the ten laws written on tablets of stone which are now supposedly written on our hearts. Now let us look in) Isaiah 56:1,2 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation [is] near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. (Is this speaking of the present and future?) Verse 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; (Are these strangers Gentiles?)

When Jesus returns and sets up his kingdom on earth sitting on the throne of David, will the sabbath be observed and what day do you think it will be if so?

The worst part of all this is Bible reading Christians who go to evening service in the dark on Sunday and think it is a Sabbath service. Under either "Bible" rule it is then Monday.

Yes, I believe he will. There is Scripture in Isaiah to indicate that. But in this Church Age, the nation of Israel has been set aside for a season. In fact Israel must be saved the same way we are--through the blood of Christ. The Sabbath, per se, then becomes meaningless. A Jew gives up their former Jewish faith as Paul, Stephen, Peter, James, John, etc., did, and become Christians. They can't be both, just a converted Muslim can't remain a Muslim and a Christian at the same time.

And I have several times answered you : The legalist, demands Commands and Commandments and Laws and Regulations and Ordinances and what have you EXCEPT Christian FREEDOM to follow after Christ in "ALL the works of God on the Sabbath Day" He did and finished in Christ and through Christ, "rested". Hebrews 4:4.

At least I have bits of Scripture and use them, which you are not privileged to do because you simply do NOT HAVE THEM.

    GE:

New Testament believers are not commanded to keep..." : quote, "...the 10 commandments".

Alls ya gotta do now Chowmah, is read the 4th chapter Hebrews verses 8-10 : "BECAUSE if JESUS had given them rest and God after these things (through Jesus) won't ever speak Salvation again, a keeping of the Sabbath Day remains valid for the People of God _HE HAVING ENTERED INTO HIS OWN REST AS GOD IN HIS OWN!"

    .... Here’s a challenge for you ALL!

Then show me anywhere where Scripture says man is allowed to change God's Word.

Like man changed God's Word in His Fourth Commandment, and in related Scriptures, such as Matthew 28:1 and Mark 15:42 and Colossians 2:16 and 1Corinthians 15:4-9 ET AL!

Could you imagine how many copies of the Bible CORRUPTED on this subject are sent into the world EVERY DAY?

You miss the point, DHK. Not one verse gives a command for the unbeliever to keep the Sabbath. Not one.

Not one verse gives a command which is not from the God of the believer to keep the Sabbath. Not one.

Not one verse in the Bible which the God of The People of God had given them in sacred trust and everlasting faithfulness, had not been fulfilled in fullness through Jesus Christ and in Him, through the Resurrection of Him from the dead in "RESTING-UP" AND "REVIVING" IN TIME, "IN THE LORD'S DAY".

"THE SON OF MAN" of Whom Isaiah in chapter 56 prophecies, is “the Son of Man who is "LORD OF THE SABBATH DAY"— the very Sabbath Day Isaiah in chapter 56 prophecies of, declaring : "Blessed is the Son of Man that KEEPETH THE SABBATH DAY".

Isaiah is Prophecy; nothing than Prophecy; nothing than Prophecy about Jesus Christ. GOD, in Isaiah 56 "BY THE SON ... IN THESE LAST DAYS ... SPAKE ... THUS CONCERNING THE SEVENTH DAY: AND GOD THE SEVENTH DAY FROM ALL HIS WORKS : RESTED."

Isaiah 56 is NEW TESTAMENT WORD OF GOD!

Bits of Scripture, DHK, yet no iota or tittle of it, is not "THE TRUTH AS IT IS IN CHRIST".

    GE:

    Beautiful statement, Percho.

    Only...

...when Jesus had come - became a man : The Man of Nazareth and Man of Sorrows, He set up His Kingdom "the Kingdom of Heaven"; and the throne of David, "the Kingdom of the Father". It shall have no end. In "The Kingdom OF HIS DEAR SON" MIDST IN "the kingdom of darkness "the Sabbath of the LORD your God" shall be observed forever.

The Word of God NEVER "thus concerning spake" of another day than, "the Seventh Day".
The Word of God NEVER "thus concerning spake" of another Kingdom.
The Word of God NEVER "thus concerning spake" of another People.
The Word of God NEVER "thus concerning spake" of another Covenant.

God had spoken once for all through "Jesus Christ yesterday, today, and forever THE SAME".

    GE:

Isaiah prophesied of Jesus Christ come in the flesh born of a virgin, who suffered under Pilate, and was crucified and died, and was buried, and the third day according to the Scriptures --- the Passover-of-Yahweh-Scriptures of which Isaiah is part and parcel --- "ROSE AGAIN".

That was how "the Son of Man", kept the Sabbath, and "made" it.

"For thus saith the LORD unto the childless who keep my Sabbaths and CHOOSE THE THINGS THAT PLEASE ME AND TAKE HOLD OF MY COVENANT, even unto them will I give mine house and within my walls a PLACE AND NAME BETTER THAN OF SONS AND DAUGHTERS : I WILL GIVE THEM AN EVERLASTING NAME THAT SHALL NOT BE CUT OFF."

Here the eunuchs are TYPE OF CHRIST. Not to see it is to close one’s eyes WILFULLY! Not to see the New Testament relevance of God’s Sabbath Day is simply disobedient blindness.

    Nor a believer. Not one.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and not one of those Scriptures is a command to the believer to keep the Sabbath, not one.
The Lord's People are not commanded to keep "The Sabbath Day." We are not the nation of Israel. What tribe do you belong to?
Isaiah 56 is a prophecy written ca. 700 B.C., and has nothing to do with the Church Age.
Jesus Christ lived and died before the Day of Pentecost, the beginning of the Church Age.
The Sabbath was done away with at the cross.
It was a prophecy about Christ and his death. That occurred in 29 A.D., and before Pentecost. It is irrelevant to the keeping of the Sabbath.
Yes, and totally irrelevant to the keeping of the Sabbath. What tribe are you from?
You haven't given any truth yet concerning the Sabbath Day.
The Sabbath is not for Gentile believers. There is no Scripture that says it is.

The church age began "before the foundation of the universe." There is only one path to Salvation. God doesn't change the rules.

There is no record in Genesis that God gave the sabbath to man, and there is no record of men keeping the sabbath before Israel in the wilderness. Nehemiah 9:13-14 plainly states that the sabbath was first given to Israel.

Nehemiah 9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

Nehemiah 9:14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:

The sabbath was a special sign between God and Israel:

Exodus 31:12 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Exodus 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Exodus 31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

The sabbath will be an eternal possession of Israel (Exodus 31:16). This sign will never be annulled or transferred to another people.

The Apostles only mentioned the sabbath three times in the epistles to the churches:

    (1) The sabbath is a symbol of salvation rest in Christ (Hebrews 4). Jesus Christ is our Sabbath/rest.

    (2) The born again believer is not bound to keep the sabbath (Colossians 2:9-17).

    (3) The born again believer has liberty in the matter of holy days (Romans 14).

The teaching that the sabbath is binding upon the Christian, is contrary to what the Apostles taught.

No where will you find that man can change Gods Word. And yet just look at what you quote Hebrews 8-10 says. What you quoted can not be found in the Word. Its not there. Dont know what book your quoting from but its not the bible
