Thank you Brother HandK for that interesting
    material.

At this site given by HankD:
    http://www.aish.com/jewishissues/jerusalem/Rebuilding_the_Temple.asp

These words are said about the Temple in Jerusalem:

"The re-building will begin when the Messiah comes.
This Third Temple will be on the Temple Mount, exactly
where it previously stood. In fact, Maimonides writes that
one sign that the Messiah is the real Messiah
(and not an imposter) will be when he re-builds
the Temple on the Temple Mount. "

As I said before, a Jewish Rabbinical student I met
(on the internet) in 1988 said the Jews would know
it was the Messiah when the person did these three
    things:

    1. Bring peace to Yisrael
    2. Restore the daily sacrifice on Temple Mount
    3. re-build the Temple

Right now there is the Dome of the Rock, Muslim's
third most holy site on Temple mount. There is an
almost clear area north of that site which is actually
where the Temple was before and where the next temple
should be built. As soon as the Jews get control of
the area of Temple Mount north of the Dome of
the Rock they can restore the daily sacrifice there.
As far as i can tell priests have assembled
    everything needed for the daily
sacrifice and this material is ready
    to move to Temple Mount.
The Temple building can even be built around the
area of the daily sacrifice, that is the daily can
    be continious once it starts.

I beleive the antichrist will appear after the pretribulation
    rapture/resurrection bringing peace to Israel,
restoring the daily sacrifice and beginning the rebuilding
of the temple. After 3½-years the Temple will be built.
At the dedication of the Temple probably the Antichrist will
commit the AOD = Abomination of Desolation when he in the
Temple declares himself to be god. When the antichrist commits
the AOD then a vast majority of the Jews will believe upon
Jesus as Messiah becoming thereby saved. In fact, the whole pretribulation rapture/resurrection,
tribulation period scenario is God's master plan to save the
maximum number of Jews. There are today some 18 million Jews
on the Earth, more than ever before.

Revelation 11:1-2 (HCSB = HOlman Christian Standard Bible):
Then I was given a measuring reed like a rod,
with these words: "Go and measure God's sanctuary
and the altar, and count those who worship there.
2 But exclude the courtyard outside the sanctuary.
Don't measure it, because it is given to the nations,
and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.

The reason to have a measuring divise is an intent to build.
Not building in the "courtyard outside the sanctuary"
means to not re-build the old courtyard of the nations:
a courtyard outside the temple where non-Jews could
go: gentiles could not enter the Temple. This area is the
very area now occupied by the Dome of the Rock.
The New Testament itself says not to re-build the
temple where the Dome of the Rock sits.

I believe this scripture in Revelation is a prophecy of
the first 3½-year-long half of Daniel's 70th week
when the Temple will be rebuilt and the two prophets will
    prophecy.
