Fisher Humphreys, faculty member at the Beeson Divinity School, does a wonderful job of describing how the SBC was and is now. He does an excellent job of listing the various sub-groups(fundamentalism, ecumenicism, Calvinism, etc) that have tried to influence the Convention in recent years. The one thing he mentions which stands out to me is regarding BFM2K and other attempts Baptists have made to develop confessions is that a confession is descriptive , while a creed is prescriptive .
