"Last summer, gays in the military dared not admit their sexual orientation. This summer, the Pentagon will salute them, marking June as gay pride month just as it has marked other celebrations honoring racial or ethnic groups."

"Details are still being worked out, but officials say Defense Secretary Leon Panetta wants to honor the contributions of gay service members."

    Come on already!

Obama has the gay vote all tied up - so give it a rest.

So they are being singled out solely because of their sexual preferences? I thought the idea was to have them integrated in the military and not be thought of as a separate set of soldiers.

    Pandering in the extreme.

What fascinates me is that we are condemned as picking on only homo$exuality as a sin; IE ignoring adultery, theft, murder, yada, yada, yada.

I submit that when adulters, thieves, murderers, yada, yada, yada, start having parades, trying to influence legislation to make them acceptable, twist the word of God to justify their sin, then we will be just as adamant in condemning them SPECIFICALLY.

IOW, if (whoever) desires to co-habitate in a devious relationship and they keep within their four walls, and do not try to force me to accept their lifestyle, then I may be a little more non-judgmental; even though I still believe that God calls this particular sin an "ABOMINATION".

I'm feeling discriminated against. Where is the celebration of non-military personel? ;)

How about a "Help for Homophobes" project and a government handout for us - after all we are the victims of the culture which preceded us and its not our fault.

Homosexuals won't settle for equal. They already have that.

    They want "special".
