So a person has a right to vote - doe that mean the government must provide them transportation to the polls?

Along with the right to vote? There is also responsibility. Of those complaining about showing ID, how many actually know who the candidates are? How many actually know what the issues are and how the candidates stand on those issues.

Is it the responsibility of the govt to provide a subcribition for the local newspaper to the individual so he can read about the issues?

Take some initiative and get some ID - and show you are responsible.

Without ID and without registration, what would keep the Democrats honest? Oh, that's a rhetorical question. Democrats don't want honest elections because they can't win those.

As was pointed out above, LBJ got his start by stealing an election in Texas.

Finally, there is no evidence that the rich believe in one-man-one-vote: the rich believe that the number of votes per person should be based upon property. For example, a guy has five mansions in five states and looks down his nose at the lower classes--should he have five votes just because he is a Democrat?

Who ever said anything like that?

Might as well ask how many with IDs know who the candidates are.

What in the world are you banging on about?

    That's right

    imagine that

It was a dumb reason to begin with

The whole point in being against voter id for the most part is to allow illegitimate voters to vote.
