When a pastor has cliques in the church, he has to do his best to build togetherness for the whole church... the nice thing about the cliques in here is that I can just ignore them and not feel gui lty about it at all.!!!

    alliances

    friendships

    bonds

they happen over time . . . through communication - even disputes.

Yes, there are cliques on the BB. There are cliques wherever you go. However, moderating seems to be mostly fair.

My favorite BB clique is the one that takes a perfectly divisive thread and turns it into something funny enough to make me forget that I have two children down with the flu and one that is probably coming down with it yet insists she is okay to go to softball practice in a few minutes.

I think there is a difference between warm, receptive cliques and cold excluding cliques. In fact, I think I should say: I think there is a difference between warm, receptive people groups and cold excluding people groups (called 'cliques'). Yes, that is the way I want to say it. Feel free to use the bold words with or without credit to me.

    Happy song of the day
(the word in my head can't be copy written, can it?)

Here is something from my sermon today...
It is from the point that we need to reach out to people who are different from us...

Matthew 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more [than others]? do not even the publicans so?

God has designed many different types of people:

nFat people, skinny people, hairy people, bald people,

nPeople of all different races, people from different backgrounds, people from different cultures

Rich people, poor people, farmers, city people,

Religious people, confused people, lost people

And God loves everyone of them

nBut we like to only hang out with those that are like us….
nAnd that is OK.. As long as we don’t ignore others, or start to feel like we are better than others…
nIt is ok to salute (greet) people that are like you… but also greet people that are different from you.

Let's see. I'm very new to this forum and so far these are the cliques that I've experienced. Sort of makes for a great forum in my opinion. And here's the great thing. If attacked or I feel that someone is trying to bait and trap, I simply don't have to respond. And, in no way will if affect my day. As far as cliques there's the liberal clique, the kjv only clique. the other translations clique, the ibf clique, the moderate clique, the sbc clique....

    I Never Said I was Perfect....and I Apologize to U

If you would go back and read my Post, from beginning to end, you will undeniably read the following: I too have been an "ass" in an attempt to protect myself from these attacks. I can not, and I am not, proclaiming any form of innocence. My responses have been defensively acrid, and I stand guilty, and repentant as a sinner before all of you on this board. I posted some hateful words all in the name of defending myself. But, as my Mama once said, "two wrongs, don't make a right!"

I am not proud of my actions, and for the times I went where Christians shouldn't go, I apologize. But, there are folks, like yourself, that have pushed buttons, and I'm learning the ways of these forums, but, am only human, and that's where Jesus comes into light.

If you go back at my post/thread history, you will more than my fair share of "Open Apologies". Something I've never seen from others that went after me.

I hope you check out the original post, because I have candidly admitted that I am guilty too!. So I'm not playing some kind of passive/aggressive game.

Shalom my sister in cyber space,

    Pastor Paul :type:

BB Cliques are the Ones That....

The cliques I am referring to are the ones the seek out posts, and tear the author into pieces, this is called baiting, and when they get a response, they light up that person, and a war of words breaks out. Ganging up on individuals is not right in my book, but, it is the Christian way. After all, someone once noted that Christians are the only religion on earth that kills their wounded.

I still believe that the weapons used by these groups of individuals is unfair, uncalled for, and not Christ like. When I've been subjected to attacks, I have no one to turn to to help me counter the attacks.

But, those that attack my comments seem to have anywhere from 5 to 10 members to jump on the wagon, beat the drums, and assist in putting down the individual they disagree with. Most of the cliquish attacks involve name calling, and that is usually the button that gets the "goat" of the author and gets them fighting back.

Just because I've been on the BB for a short time, doesn't mean I can't see goal of the hidden agendas.

I would like to see debates run fairly. All too often they turn into name calling, and again I ask you: WWJD or S?

More "pity me" stuff. It's not worth the effort, really. And don't patronize me, either.

I don't see any of righteousdude2's posts or comments as "pity me" posts.

He's correct when he said ganging up on individuals is not right.

Those that attack his comments seem to have anywhere from 5 to 10 members to jump on the wagon.

This ought not be on a Christian message board.
