    OK, since some have complained that the polls are skewed because they permit non-Baptists to vote, please vote in this poll only if you are fundamental (believe the Bible) Baptist.

    No, the Bible does not prohibit drinking alcoholic beverages in moderation. The Bible does prohibit getting drunk.

    Instead of using the American Tract Society Dictionary, why not a Greek lexicon based on the Greek? They don't have pre-formed agendas to "prove".

    OK, here's one:

    Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

    How do you get drunk to excess with grape juice?

    Also, John 2:10 says that they put out the bad wine after the people are drunk and they saved the good stuff. I doubt that people who had already been drinking alcoholic wine would be terribly happy with grape juice and call it "better".

    Well, so far, even a majority of fundamental Baptists realize that the Bible does not forbid the use of beverage alcohol.

    The majority of "fundamental" Baptists on this board don't see anything wrong with Harry Potter, either. I'm sure glad I get my teaching and preaching and expositions from my local church and other resources and Bible study and not this board.

    If I was a baby Christian, I would really be able to tell little difference between some of the stuff posted on here and the ideology of the world.

    The fact that the men at the wedding feast had already well drunk tells me Jesus did not produce fermented wine. He would not have contributed to another's drunkenness.

    Funny, they want to say drunkenness is a sin, but cannot admit that if Jesus gave the drunks more wine they would have been drunker, thereby making Him no longer sinless.

    Course, we know even the wine they had 'well drunk' was not even fermented either, else the governor would not have been able to tell by taste that the wine Jesus made was the best

    Also, He would not have gone against the Word of God and put fermented wine to another's lips.

    My parents grew grapes and shipped some of them to the winery to be processed. From what I read about wine here there is such ignorance. What do some think makes grape juice, wine? Water?

    What makes you so sure that the "majority" voting in this poll are fundamental Baptists?

    Somehow I expected that answer from you when the result did not agree with your opinion.

    So, are we to assume that many people lied about being fundamental Baptists?

    Poll results are not the measure of truth--I don't care if the results agree with me. It's not a good idea to make assumptions.
