Aside from a couple of threads - one with Steaver and myself and one with DHK and myself - this area of the board appears to be very silent.

    Where has everyone gone?

To me the bigger question is why we allow on the other christian posting board postsin from such as those adhering to beliefs of NON Christian churches such as SDA/Catholic, and Charasmatics?

Why not have it titled NON christian demonination board?

That is pretty funny all by itself.

But I don't think that acrimony, and name-calling vitriol is the solution to every subject thread on this area of the board.

Whose name calling? You can be saved by the Grace of God, as sure some SDA RCC have and are, yet BOTh ares till non Christian churches, as defined for us in the NT!

They're hiding from spiritual truths that are seriously confronting
some of their doctrines ... which came from the very pits of hell.

Satan has always been "the god/ruler of this world/age",
who is "the father of all lies" and who "deceives the whole world".

One really needs to be LED by the precious Holy Spirit to escape from his false doctrines!

But, of course, those who think they're smarter than Satan laugh at this spiritual advice.

It would be funny, but more supreme irony that you can say this, yet you are the oone holding to false doctrines and practices!

I don't really tie myself down to a particular denomination (although my doctrines are more or less baptist), but I don't know a ton about denominations outside of baptist and the nondenominational front, either. So I don't have much to say that could contribute to any conversations regarding other denominations.

But when Bible topics come up - you can share your understanding of scripture and everyone wins. It does not matter what denomination you are from - as long as you share your understanding of scripture it is a good thing.

Let's take our current favorite topic, which perhoops is OSAS ...
Either OSAS is true, or it is false.
Therefore, is it a good thing for the BACs who hold the false doctrine to be sharing der false doctrine?
    Hmmmmmm ... velly interesting.

But it has to be certain that Saul rejected Christ before he was converted. And it has to be certain that in Acts 17:1-8 Paul is debating with those who reject Christ and did not understand the Gospel. Same also in Acts 18:1-5.

In Acts 17:11 we find this statement about non-Christians "They studied the scriptures daily to SEE IF those things were so".

Can we as Christians be any less open to the Bible EVEN in cases where it may not support our views/preferences/traditions?

Then clearly we can come to areas where we hear something other than "yes - we are right - because we always say we are right". Our beliefs can either stand the process of close review or they cannot.

Having said that - I freely admit that many of the Jews rejected the teaching of Christ and of Paul after hearing it.

A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.

But at least there is the chance to learn.

    in Christ,

    Bob

    Our very own Roberto R,

Don't forget that Bible pastors and teachers will be held accountable
for any false teachings that they pass on to der sheeps!
Is this also true for Internet "teachers"?

Never a good thing for anyone to be passin' on false doctrines to anyone else!
Could easily cause someone to miss heaven.

Blessings to you and yours, as always!

And we have more..... "believe as I believe and teach as I teach or else you are lost" .....rhetoric from the one here who claims to be the only one having spiritual understanding.

Why is this? Why has E7 digressed into this type of rhetoric abandoning reason and debate? This usually occurs when one feels so sure of themselves that they become blinded with pride. One runs out of answers to the tough questions brought up which to them appears to destroy their doctrine, some resort to name calling and others resort to condemning others to hell for not believing as they do.

Then on the other side is those who disagree and debate, but still understand that it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that one is saved and so any lack of spiritual understanding does not condemn a person to hell. This is true spiritual understanding.

It is a discussion board, after all. No one is going to be in complete agreement with another. If they were, nothing would be learned about other points of view and no greater understanding of other viewpoints would be reached.

Regarding other denominations, IMO, any that believes Jesus is God as well as the Son of God, and in His sacrifice and resurrection, etc is Christian. IMO there must be people in virtually any denomination that are truly born again, even if some of their other beliefs are a little wacky, so long as they take that most important belief to heart.

But then that's also why I like nondenominational churches. I don't believe it's the denomination that saves and I don't believe they should divide the body, although denominations have the important function of defining different beliefs and interpretations. (In the sort of sense that good fences make good neighbors.)
