I guess I do not get to appreciate the openness that you expect me to render unto you?

 

Sure you get to appreciate the openness. You spoke your mind and so did I; if you’re anything like me you could have had twenty things on your mind when you suggested the polls. I happened to see another side of it is all and stated the reasons I didn’t think it was a good idea. No, I don’t expect you to render unto me, don’t even want you to, I appreciate your opinions, and if you ever have an issue with my attitude-just tell me straight enough that I can understand it, I’m easy and at your service.

 

If this person really wanted to know what people on the Baptist Board think, the poll should have been stated so that people could say what they think.

For example:

How many people on the Baptist Board think that some of the posters are shameful during disagreements?

Then the questions of the poll were skewed so that it was difficult to vote a simple yes or no. How many of us are really "Christ-like"?

So I am going to say what I think:

Some posters on the Board have a shameful attitude. Not all posters on the Baptist Board and surely the Attitude of the Board is not shameful.

Now while we may strive to be Christ-like, I'm not sure that we ever reach that goal.

If one does not like to debate or disagree, then post in areas of fellowship. In these areas, we disagree many times, but do not debate.

 

Well said Thankful. Not everyone acts shamefully, but some are a little tto abrasive in their reactions. I know my husband can be very abrasive, but then he is a Baptist and it is something I am learning that is very Baptist like...lol
