    Dr. Bob,

    Your problem is that you rely upon the methods of man, rather than faith in God Almighty to preserve his word. Simple common sense, and KNOWING the Lord will answer and solve the problem, that wasn't a problem until the modern versions came along - which really isn't a problem if you trust in the Lord in the first place.

    May the Lord Jesus Christ richly bless you.

    You know what makes me truly sick?

    People who will use sweet syrupy language at the beginning of a post . . then in the middle will condemn, villify, berate scholarship and rely on ignorance and superstition.

    Or imply you are evil or not "trusting the Lord in the first place". Sweetly STABBING you.

    Then end it with another sweet syrupy "blessing" that must make God vomit, too.

    OH, and then sign it "love".

    Sickening. Real Christlike? Not. Feigned spirituality is a guise easily discerned.

    What makes me sick is those who put Alexandrian scholarship -fueled and founded by Gnostics and Philosophers from Alexandria,Egypt- over what God says...

    I see that you are still wallowing in your apostacy, like swine full of the grapes of wrath waiting to regurgitate their stolen meal upon the innocent and unawares. You have made it plain that you are God denyers and allies of Satan who have have been deceived by the evil one with your reliance upon gnosticism and the Whore of Babylon. Hort and Wescott were the Antichrist and there are stories that they sometimes drank and gambled, not to mention they had funny accents. They were in the Church of England, which makes their faith suspect from the beginning.

    I know what God's pure word is; you don't. You are being misled, and willingly.

    I just get tired, Ed. I am appalled that there are "christians" so deceived and/or ignorant and that they will not engage their brains.

    The catholics in the Other Religion forum treat us with more respect than does this pseudo-spiritual bunch who deny the Inspired Word of God and replace it with an English translation.

    Oh, well. Every once and a while I have to shed the image and come down hard so they know it is not a game to deceive and that truth will be known.

    Actually, I thought it'd be some who claim to be Baptists who fall for a false doctrine started by a 7th day Adventist big shot.

    The KJV translators used the same methods Dr. Bob outlined in what they did. So, you are following the same "methods of man" when you say their work is the only perfect Bible for English speakers.

    Also, although you claim not to be one of those who question another's salvation over the Bible verson issues, you have just done that. Are you now God and can know such things? Me thinks you need to repent of such foolishness. You are judging by outward appearance (what Bible version someone uses). Only God knows the hearts and He is well aware of who are His without your help.

    Wycliffe's translation was a modern version in 1384. The GB was a modern version in 1560. The AV was a modern version in 1611. Which one of those modern versions started the problem?

    Or, did the problem actually start with a 7th Day Adventist big shot's book in 1930-a problem which has mushroomed into a full-blown monster today?

    So, we who deny the KJVO myth don't trust the Lord? I see...
