Pride makes individuals blind and deceives them into lying to both themselves and to others. Even though I know that God knows everything, I still at times choose to sin.

It really is simple. Satan does not believe God any more than mankind does. We all put limits on what God can/will do based on our own hopes and fears. Satan still believes God is wrong and Satan can achieve equality with Him.

    Do not you, also?

    Familiarity breeds contempt.

How could Israel rebel against the God of the Pillar of FIRE?

How could the people of Adam and Eve's day rebel while they could still go to the Garden Gate and SEE the Angel with the sword that turned "every direction"?

How could the disciples doubt the Son of God whom they walked with every day. Peter says "though art the Christ the Son of God" in Matt 16... THEN when Christ explains the NEXT part of the PLAN - he says "OH no Messiah - that would be a horrible idea".

How could Eve believe a talking SNAKE over her Creator?

How could all those sitting at the table as Satan said to God "you are wrong! Does Job fear you for nothing - take away his protection and you will see that you are wrong" In Job 1 and 2 -- not all see that Satan was just too silly?

    In Christ,

    Bob
