    After beating the St. Louis' Cardinals and leading the series 3-1, I think this may be the year the Astros actually make it to the World Series. Although, they do have to win one more game.

    If the Cardinals can make it through Pettite, Oswalt, and Clemens to come back and win this series then they will deserve it.

    Terry,

    The pitching has been great and the astros bats have come to produce the runs needed. The cards have been frustrated and the tables have turned. The world series seems to be a near sure thing for them. As I would like to see them win it I wonder if they can beat the pitching of the white sox? They are in my mind very similiar teams.

    Just getting to the World Series, if they do, is quite an accomplishment.

    I do believe that the Astros will not only go the the Series, but I think they will win it!

    The Cardinals get one more chance after this, hopefully our last, at bat.

    Bro James, thou speaketh in haste, forsooth! Poules (sp) hit a three run homer with two outs in the top of the ninth. I think the ball landed in Galveston. Off to Busch Stadium. Can Killer Bees strike in Saint Louis?

    Hokey smokes Bullwinkle! Bro. James was tempting sports karma in 2 different threads last night! :eek: :eek:

    You just don't mess with sports karma. When your team is leading like that, the right thing to do is to sit quietly, afraid to even move for fear of doing something that will cause your team to lose.

    Anybody remember Dave Henderson? Any Red Sox fan circa 1986 does. I went to bed before the game ended last night and my first thought upon hearing about the homerun was Dave Henderson.

    For messing with sports karma, if I were an Astros fan, I would put the blame for this loss squarely on Bro. James. :D :cool:
