It's true. No matter how Paul supporters dance around it.

Where in the Constitution does it require aid be given to Israel or any other country?

What good do we do Israel by giving them our support with so many strings attatched ?

And does the fact that we give the Arab nations, including "Palestine" 3 times as much money as we give Israel negate any "support" we might be giving ?

And how about the U.N. ? Does it make sense for us to fund the most anti-Israel lobbying group in the world ?

We don't support Israel, at all, right now. Bush & Rice's poilicies have caused way too many Jewish deaths, they have been a disaster to the Jewish state. I'm ready to try something else.

That it, keep Christ in His own little corner of your life. Don't want Him to have anything to do with messing up your own will in life's matters.

Does the Constitution of this country (founded btw by God Himself) override the Word of God?

If the U.S. constitution is to mean anything at all then unless it expressly gives the power to Congress to perform an action the Congress cannot constitutionally perform such an action.

The Bible doesn't tell us that we can't use pretzels and beer for the Lord's Supper but it does tell us to use unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine. The same principle applies to the U.S. constitution.

I suggest that you read Article I, Section 8.

I am not trying to dance around it. I support Ron Paul's position on this issue.

Frankly, those who want to use my tax money to support Israel economically should be die-hard Mike Huckabee supporters in spite of his liberalism/socialism.

This is not a theocracy, steaver. If you want to live in a theocracy I suggest that maybe you should consider moving to Iran. Their leaders' thinking is quite similar to yours. They just read from a different book.

They never have, as a nation, believed in Christ Jesus. Them believing in Christ Jesus is not a requirement given in the scripture.

That indeed would be bliss! However I believe the scripture is focused more on nations who bless the nation of Israel. I could be wrong.

There is nothing Christian about rejecting God's word on the matter. I have very few "personal opinions" when it comes to God's word. Mostly it is black and white.

Matters not what country or government you find yourself placed under as a Christian. As a Christian you are to obey God's word. Constitutions do not override the Word. We will be judged accordingly.

No similarity at all. I would not equivalize the Word of God with a book like the Koran. What book you follow makes a huge difference!

I am not rejecting God's Word in not wanting my tax money to go to economically support the modern political state of Israel.

I am rejecting your interpretation of God's Word on this subject.

This is a classic example of why we should not personal, controversial religious beliefs to drive policy in these United States. And I will always stand at the gate of government and oppose those who attempt to do so.

Do you follow the word of God in all areas of your life Ken, or do you make seperations of Ken's worldly life and Ken's Christian life?

Sure there is. You both want to impose your personal religious beliefs on those who do not agree with you when it comes to government policies.

I have no desire to use the force of government to impose my personal religious beliefs on others. I suggest that as a Christian you should follow the same course.

No offence brother, but if you find your Christianity controversial you should study the Bible and get a good solid foundation on these topics before you dismiss them.

This is the classic "cop out" for those who reject what God's word teaches on these matters. It isn't a "grey" area Ken. God said He would bless those who bless Israel. No mystery here!

Just like voting is yoking up. No mystery. No private interpretation. It is what it is. It is called life application. The bible is current for all generations.

Brother, I have no personal religious beliefs and you shouldn't either. We are Christians and we have the very word of God, not a personal belief. We know the truth. We must apply it to our lives in all areas. We are brothers on the same side. Why don't we just follow God's word on the matter?

    1) If you don't think that there are controversial areas among Christians then I suggest that you get out more and interact with other Christians.

    2) I kindly suggest that you do the same.

    1) Yes, you do. Every Christian does. With all due respect to you, it is a sign of ignorance to claim otherwise.

    2) I believe I do. I believe you don't.

Again, we see why our Founding Fathers were wise to keep controversial, personal religious beliefs out of the realm of public policy in these United States.

I will not. I have no personal religious beliefs, I only have the Word of God, as do you. I just seem to have a stronger desire to apply it to my walk in life.
