    ASL is American Sign Language
I think PSE is Pigeon Sign English?? (this is signing in English phrasing - ASL has a different syntax than English)
    Not sure what SEE is.

ASL is American Sign Language. Most deaf people's native language is ASL. ASL is a short syntax grammar. ASL is a cinematic language.

PSE is Pigeon Sign English. PSE combines ASL and SEE.

    SEE is Sign Exact English.

Sorry, Jerome! Entirely my fault for sloppy wording! What I meant, and therefore what I should have written, was:
No one in the thread following the 2004 poll said that they hated the KJV, so I cannot see how that poll is an example of people on the BB who hate the KJV. I agree with Scarlett O. when she said in Post 3 that it is offensive to assume that people here hate the King James translation.
I apologise again for the confusion I haved caused.

Not here. In the UK deaf people use BSL (British Sign Language). Very different to ASL.

I've learned that even within the US, there are different "dialects"! There's California sign language that has some different signs from what we use here in the east. "Cereal" is one that comes to mind. :)

Above is an abstract (about 80%) of the OP.
I had previously asked who actually hated the KJV. Stilllearning listed two above.

We have gotten quite a bit off the OP, lets take a stab at the 2 groups listed above who evidently hate the KJV

This whole issue is a smokescreen- the KJV translators were not defending their translation, but rather their liberty to translate the KJV.

Do you know DI? If so, she used BSL and talked with deaf people in UK.

Yes, of course I know who she was. :) I stupidly hadn't twigged that she was the Di you meant.

    Sorry!

This thread was inflammatory to start with and has drifted off topic.
