    What struck my mind about female pastors was whether they wore trousers or dresses.

    Not one church has a woman as a pastor. They are sinning impersonators.

    1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

    1Ti 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
    1Ti 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

    1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

    Feel free to start a new thread about female pastors.

    But please do not hijack this thread. Like you, I do not believe in female pastors, but the FACT remains that many churches do have them.
    And I suppose some of those women do wear ties :smilewinkgrin:

    So more more "unbiblical female pastors" or unbiblical male pastors" posts in this thread - but feel free to start a new thread. NOTE: see rule # 9 of Baptist Board rules

    So, ALL pastors must be married!

    So, all deacons must be married to one woman. That makes lesbianism acceptable biblically....Phoebe was a deaconess according to scripture.

    If all women remained silent, we woldn't have a church to-day!

    Probably from διάκω diakō (obsolete, to run on errands; compare G1377); an attendant, that is, (generally) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specifically a Christian teacher and pastor (technically a deacon or deaconess): - deacon, minister, servant.

    It has more meanings than just deacon, or "deaconess."
    Simply because it CAN mean that, does not mean it does. Therefore, we see in light of 1Ti that it does not mean this.
