    I need your prayers...
I am beginning to feel that it may be time for me to leave BB...

I am increasingly becoming angry when I come here and see some people upholding sin. And when I state what I feel is sin, I am being made fun of. I DON'T NEED THIS!

And the way others cut people down just because they do not worship the same way they do drives me nuts...

We have people upholding abortion, socialism, and homosexuals...
We have people that are so judmental that they would tell someone on the edge of death to "get a grip, and grow up"
We have KJVO advocates that can't see that others that use the MVs are just as good as they are.

YOU get the point.. you all know what it is like around here.
And it is beginning to get to me!

I have been here 5 yrs, I have seen some come and go.
Some I truly miss, others I don't care to ever see....

I am praying about this now... and I want you all to pray also.

Maybe you can answer me this....

At what point would you say goodbye to BB?

If I do exit this place.. if you join the BB facebook group, you can still contact me...

I won't leave completely... just become inactive for a while....

    Praying here...

I left for a season over the socialism issues and constantly on and on about abortion.

Some people like to crush the soda tin long after it has been crushed beyond redemption.

I truly hope you can sort things out for yourself, mate.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Tim,

First of all let me say any absence of you from the BB will be missed. That said there are times when we all need to take a break. I haven't been around much lately, because of real world issues. I used to be much more heavily involved in debate thread. Now I read them but rarely comment on them. If you feel you will not be Christlike in your responses then it is time to take a break.

You may not even need to leave completly just don't post in the debate threads for a while. In the end only you will know how much involvement you can have without sacrificing your testimony.

    Bill

I have had to leave message boards. Due to them being heated. And due to them, not acting Christ-like. Be much in prayer for you!

I think Bible believing Bill is right.

You might just need a break, or maybe just post on the Fellowship Forums.

Actually, the past week or so, I've been half-thinking of leaving the BB because of the constant mean attacks on Dispensationalism and the Pre-Trib Rapture. I have not been a 100% supporter of those views but lean that way. Ironically, the attacks make me defend the Disp. and the Pre-Trib Rapture even more because I am not being convinced at all by what is said, which is mostly ad hominems, sarcastic remarks, and just downright mean statements. Now it's started on the Other Christian Denominations forum and I've had it. Up to here.

If people politely debated, and used scripture instead of ad hominems (some do, and I am grateful for them), it would be different. But I see your point, TT, about the things that upset you.

You people who do not believe in Dispensationalism, you are not influencing anyone who disagrees to your point of view.

I've started posting on the Fellowship Forums more, and that helps. I am not sure I could stay, though, and just post there.

I may take a break soon. We'll see.

Well, I understand. I left a year ago and came back last month.

I was angry when I left and threw my little tantrum and took my toys and went elsewhere.

    I regret it.

Did the year's sabbatical make me less angry about certain posts and comments? NO!

I just decided that there were going to be posts and issues that I will stay away from.

You remember that I said that I took my toys and went elsewhere? Well...the elsewhere was the "other" forum....where all the nutcases are.

After spending a year in that purgatory I learned a very valuable lesson. In fact, it is my signature over there.

I'll be right back with it.....hang on....
    ..................................

OK here it is - my signature at the "other" place.

    .............................................................................................

Are there people here, there, and everywhere who say stupid, stupid, stupid things that are hateful and intended to be so?

    Yes.

Let them lie in their own pen of stupidity and YOU rise above it and move on.

But please don't move on from the BB.

That is comical because I found the dispensationalists the one attacking both Reformed theology and amillennialism. We, the latter, rarely raised a discussion about eschateology, and just look at the mess going about now..something like socialism, liberalism and abortion........all without remedies!

    Cheers,

    Jim

Tiny, I hope you won't leave permanently. I understand your concerns. I have gotten pretty upset myself at times at some things that have been said. But, when that happens, I usually walk away for a while. Also, I usually limit pretty severely the threads that I read. I try to keep from getting carried away as much as I can. I, among others, will be thinking of you.

    Tim Reynolds

Besides, we Tims need to stick together.

I think I will check out PS now.. I haven't been there for awhile...

I want you all to know I love you all.. .even those I fervantly disagree with... I dont' think i could stay away for long.. .and yes, I have seen some of the other forums.. .even been banned from OB... And I know HOW good BB is ... it is one of the best.. if not the best.

But me feeling constantly angry when I come here cannot be good..
For instance we had a wonderful service tonight at church.. All we did was read scripture and sing Praise and Worship songs using videos...

When I left church I was on cloud 9...
I come to BB after church..

    And

    CRASH!

I read a couple posts.. and Cloud 9 disappeared...

I may take someones advice and just play in the fellowship threads for awhile... stay away from debate...

    That may help..

    Thanks all.

I ditto Scarlett. I have never gotten to any point of leaving the BB, but there have been times I have had to step back and regroup.

And, what is really good for me is going through a period of life where I am not at the BB every day. When I am at my real job, I can get on every day, and usually do, but when I am off for a week, I don't visit at all. Try just coming to the BB twice a week rather than daily.

One thing you learn in ministry is not to take everything so seriously that it damages you. We can't resolve every issue in a day and often we can't resolve them at all. We wake each day with new challenges and get on with it. We do the best we can, and i the end, trust everything to the Lord.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I would really hate to see you leave Tim. We need people who are firm in their beliefs and who aren't afraid to call sin, sin. If you give up, there will be one less person on here with firm biblical convictions. Just something to think about.
