    Yes, and was banned from preaching from then on. Rumor has it that he secretly dropped a bag of coins through the window of the dwelling of a poverty-stricken family to prevent the daughters from being sold into prostitution. It is assumed that the stories of a secret visitor bringing gifts to good boys and girls sprang from that act.
