Completely disagree. Our Lord can do what He wants regardless of our faith.

My opinion only. Perhaps the circumstances were unique, but I cannot see a moral problem with the use of strong painkillers for those who legitimately need them.

If you had been on an upper floor in one of the World Trade Towers on 09-11-01, with windows knocked out being asphyxiated and flames fast approaching, would you h ave jumped, as many people did, or do you think God requires you to stand there without breath and be burned?

Great example. But the liberal thinkers might tell you they would stand there and die with dignity, but no one knows what they would do until they are in the persons situation.

I would hope God is forgiving enough to forgive someone that lacks the emotional fortitude some on this board claim to have.

    Shalom!

Ever think that those who jumped from the tower did it out of fear. Fear can kill more people in a panic situation than any thing else.

Most likely it's because dying to falling is preferable to dying to fire--fire is painful. Also could be an instinctive flight-or-fight thing, or somewhat involuntary. Our bodies do have instincts.
