It would be a terrible idea for Tancredo to run. I emailed him asking him to not run and to support Congressman Ron Paul instead. Paul has much broader based support whereas Tancredo's support is principally only based on the illegal immigration issue. Paul is already on the same page with Tancredo on that issue.

They would both be going after basically the same votes. Tancredo needs to stand down for the good of the limited government effort.

He would make a good vice presidential candidate for Ron Paul.

He knows he's not going to win - Bill O'Reilly flat out told him so, too, tonight on the Factor. Not enough money or name recognition. I'd vote for him, though. Now if he asks Sean Hannity to be his running mate, it's a shoe in.

And whatever Bill "Spinmeister" O'Reilly says is to be taken as gospel.

    Yeah, right.

If nothing else, with him and Ron Paul in the race, it should make things interesting.

I hope they're both around long enough for the televised debates.

A Paul/Tancredo ticket or Tancredo/Paul ticket would be great, imo.

Both should not run. That scenario would be as it was in 1988 when Pat Robertson ran and took away votes from Jack Kemp. Neither one lasted long after Iowa and New Hampshire because Kemp's vote totals were diluted by Robertson running.
