And this is significant for precisely what reason?
Because it's news, and this is a news forum ?
Lookin' for a fight pretty early, eh ?
Just not convinced it is news.
It's in a newspaper.
If you are not interested move on. Let people who see its importance discuss it amongst themselves.
I know those who believe Blair was genuinely converted, but has since drifted far from the Lord. But, that is very hard to believe.
Some folks that are convinced...
Tony Blair to become a deacon? - Catholic World News
From PM to deacon, Blair ponders - CathNews
BLAIR 'MAY BECOME CATHOLIC SOON' - Daily Express "The World's Greatest Newspaper"
Blair 'may become a Catholic deacon' - Daily Mall as listed in their "News > World News" section
So is every time Paris Hilton gets a rash.
You owe me a new computer screen for that one.
And we talk about that here, as well. At least some of us do.
Should we run all future news items thru you TP ?
1. Recent account; fresh information of something that has lately taken place at a distance, or of something before unknown; tidings. We have news from Constantinople. News has just arrived. This news is favorable. (Source: Webster's 1828)
Paris Hilton rashes are also news. It may be a stupid, inane, ridiculous topic to report on and it is nearly bizarre the attention the ho triumverant of Spears, Lohan, and Paris get, but the Paris Hilton thing is still "news" and even gets attention on Baptistboards. Having said that, Paris is not equivalent in importance to a major leader of the Western civilization, in a once Christian nation, overtly joining with antichrist. Tony Blair wanting to be a deacon in the RCC is the topic of this thread. If you'd like to discuss it, fire away, if you want to redefine what news is or talk about Paris, create or find a different thread.
I don't remember hearing about Paris getting a rash?
Perhaps Tragic will provide you with a link.
I don't remember caring. Who she? What do for a living? What newsworthy for?
Which returns us to my original observation.
So this thread has been derailed completely.
Tragic & others, I wish you would take yer baptist-hatin' hides elsewhere.
Rufus, I'm closing this thread. Please re-start it. The chair rules the possibility of a former British PM becoming a RCC deacon is news. Therefore, it is worth at least three pages of discusion.
