    My top 5 would be:

    1.ISV
    2.NASB
    3.HCSB
    4.NKJV
    5.? ESV or NRSV.

    I will carry the NASB and ISV with me everywhere my top two favorite versions. I like the ESV and the NRSV both and since I don't own a copy of either yet I will have to see which one I like better. Just post your top 5 versions you use for study and alternate readings.

    2. KJV1611
    3. KJV1769
    4. NIV

    I only use two on a regular basis:

    ESV -- Family and personal devotions/study @ home
    KJV -- Church use

    I will consult several other versions via BibleWorks when I am preparing SS lessons, etc.

    I put The Message on there cuz I refer to it on a semi-regular basis to help me with illustrating a text at times cuz Peterson does a good job sometimes of doing that.

    I do reference the KJ21 from time to time!

    1-NKJV: primary preaching/teaching
    2-KJV1769: secondary preaching/teaching
    3-ESV: comparison and study
    4-NIV: good for "cover to cover" reading
    5-"others"

    Probably in that order. Less often: NIV, NRSV, NLT, NET and a bunch of others if I include the ones in my Bible programs.
