I like the very old very feminine names for girls and strong masculine names for boys.

    Names we like are:
    William
    Jon Henry
    Grace(Gracie)
    Helen
    Abigail
    Evelyn(Evie)-long E
    Margaret
    Claudia
    Lydia

We tend to stay away from trendy names.

I think if my name was McKinley (hmm...McKinley McKinney), I'd probably tell folks I was named after McKinley Morganfield, not the president.

Is that a variation of Aisling?

My wife and I made a conscious decision to use names that appeared in the bible for naming our children. Michael (our oldest - my wife picked this name out for her first son when she was in Jr. High), Andrew, Anna and Rachel. I wanted to spell it Rachael, but she pointed out the correct spelling to me.

I like the names Hannah Grace and Micah. I like Micah because it sounds like Michael, but it's a little different. I also like the names Caleb, Ruth, Abigail, and Nathan. I'm beginning to think that Elijah is a neat name too. I also like the name Maggie.

Try searching for "Charles Wesley" or "John Wayne" on the net. While you will find a lot of sites about the two gentlemen most commonly known by those names, you will also find a lot of people with those as first & second names....

As for me I might get hitched just so I can have a kid (well, so my Mrs can have a kid) and call him/her: (Insert 700 random letters here) :D [IMG] :D [IMG]

When my Grandson was born a year ago (tomorrow)my daughter picked out family names.
He was named John, after my Grandfather.
His full name is John Andrew Dalton Whitehorn-Schmidt. We call him John.
She was going to name him Austin, but one day at the doctors office she overheard three women that were going to name their babys Austin, so she changed her mind.
When we named our children we picked names from the Bible.
Our son's name is Zebulon David, and our Daughters name is Rebekah Aaron. Yes I know that is a masculine name but she was named after my greatgrandfather.

I went to school with a girl named September, and a guy named Harley Davidson. The first day of a new semester, our teacher said "Boy, did your mom not like you or something?"
