So typical of modern baptist talk.

[Edited because the comments did nothing to edify the body of Christ and in fact resulted in sowing disunity among the brethren. Therefore, the topic is now being closed.]

    My last post,
    Dave

I agree with a lot of what you said David, but don't believe the fullness of it was embodied by a topic being closed, although it certainly seemed to have triggered it!

Since you addressed me, as part of this board, I challenge you to not simply rant at me and walk away, for such is the behavior of a child, not an adult man, and certainly not one of your upbringing.

I was poor, I was suffering, and guess who helped me? Members of this board. I was sent money to fix my car so I could go to church, by one member. Another member on here signed me up with HSLDA and paid a year's worth of dues. Another paid for me to move away from the bad situation and has supported me since then as I go to school so that I can support myself and my family later. I have been prayed for a number of times, and counseled by many.

Yes, there are a lot of jerks here, and a lot of worthless and meaningless and even downright idiotic shpeels.

Yet, there remains a core of decent people that has renewed my faith in Christianity over the years. For a group this small, and 13,000 people out of the whole world really is just a fraction, I am amazed at the number of decent people. We definitely have at least 10 righteous, and maybe even 10 real Baptists, so maybe we'll get spared, eh? ;)

Try to cool off and reflect on the fact that you don't know everything or everyone before you lose your temper again, ok?

While I don't agree with most of the things that Dave has mentioned, I do however believe that there is way too much debating and arguing between us "Christian" folks on this board or in general.

I don't believe God intend on us debating the issues like we do. It just seems like a lot of the topics that are started, start off on a good track, and people are giving their opinion of how they see things fitting in with God's plan and the Bible, but then it turns into a brawl where everyone can't let the "other" guy get the last word.

If you finally take a stand and say, ok, let's agree to disagree, you're labeled as middle of the road, with no opinion, no backbone.

SO, again, although I don't agree with most of the Dave's points, I do think we should and could do a better job at respecting each other and helping each other grow in Chirst instead of having to "be right" all the time.

    David,

While I don't know you and don't know the topic you are angry about I would like to say something. You seem to have a good heart that is full of justice. You want to see God represented well and for this I appreciate you being my brother in Christ. I would say stay and try to make a difference. I don't always agree with folks, but I do enjoy the Christian fellowship I have with some great brothers and sisters in Christ. God bless and hope to see you around these parts.
