Topical or Expositional?

    What type pf message do you predominately preach?

    Of course, it goes without saying that a topical sermon can be expository. Then again, we might have to define the often nebulous terms before one can make that case. One man's expository sermon is another man's topical one. I've read the phrase "topositional" to describe a sermon that is expository but based on a topic. Remember that John R.W. Stott, Roy Clements, Robinson, et.al. define an expository message not by its form, but by its philosophy and content.

    We don't have an evening service right now as we are meeting in borrowed facilities until our new building is complete. Will be ready in January, God willing and the bank says OK!

    Starting a new series this week on our maintaining our vision, mission and core values. Wednesday we are going through Galatians verse by verse.

    We don't do anything on Sunday night. In fact, come to think of it, I haven't been in a baptist church in almost 20 years that had services on Sunday nights. Consequently, I chose "Other" which actually means curling up on the couch and watching cheesy sci-fi movies. [​IMG]
