Perhaps the GOP leadership should clean house wholesale, and start over with new blood, but the dog never cleans his own house. What a mess.

Then either another one will have to be started or one of the minor parties will have to step up to the plate. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy to accomplish.

That would take two full Presidential election cycles to achieve and that's too long for an unencumbered democrat party to be in power.

They would effectively stifle free speech, and fully insure through legislative maneuvering, guaranty that Congress would never again be out of their hands. Just look at the ease with which the unconstitutional McCain/Feingold bill passed.

They will seal forever the religion of secular humanism as a necessary tool in public schools while denying the ability to home school or attend parochial schools.

They will insure the illegals receive the right to vote, while informing them that they, the democrats are their benefactors.

They will definitively disembowel our military in the interest of world fairness, as they return to the clintonian method of fighting legitimate wars as police actions.

There's not enough time for third party, but if the GOP doesn't wake up there may be no choice but to proceed in that direction.
