nptreley continues to overlook the image of God in which we are made. His defense without the tempering of the reality of the how we are made always ends up making man in to robot with no free agency and no free will. God made us with both.
Argued the futility of such a position.
I guess that stems from what "calvinists" post.
If you want to point out that others have arrived at the same or similar beliefs, fine. But if you are using the beliefs of others to beat us Non Calvinists over the head you are wasting your time and energy.
A case of "the pot calling the kettle black", I'm sure!

Christ is the Center of Scripture. He is seen in every passage and on every page.

There is only one I AM; and that is not man.

In fact, man does not exist simply by his thought. This is the fundamental problem with the view of Arminianism; it exalts man and belittles God and His Christ.

Man that does not exist does not think. All others think, therefore they exist!

I would be interested in knowing the scripture that says man cannot think or that man does not think. Oh, Never mind, I figured it out, "IT IS CALVINIST DOCTRINE....Right?

    Acts 17.28

The idea that man is the center is humanistic; The truths of the Bible that Calvin espouses do not make man to be the center, but God and His Christ.

nptreley continues to overlook the image of God in which we are made.</font>[/QUOTE]I overlook no such thing. What I avoid, quite deliberately, is reaching a conclusion based on a personal inference of what it means to be made in the image of God. The Bible has many verses where one can find things they think the text infers. The Bible also has many plain, clear, unambiguous statements where no inference is necessary to understand the intended meaning.

When the latter contradict the inferences of the former, I stick with the latter.
