A certain individual posts a lot of trash talk from leftist websites on this Forum about Romney. We all feel the need to rebut but the best rebuttal would be silence!

Normally we should try to encourage folks to understand the truth.

But there are some who would say "Dont confuse me with the facts, I have made up my mind":BangHead:

Well, we could just direct people to this link:

Actually, I find some of the stuff that CrabTownBoy posts to be interesting. As far as posting trash talk from right wing websites, well, that goes on here as well.

It would be nice is some would reply with a well thought out statement. The hysterical comments of some greatly amuse me. Of course they add nothing to the topic under discussion, but they do provide amusement.

I suspect that is why your threads get so much response; comic relief.

We shut off our cable TV a few months back. We kept the internet though. This is proving to be the most peaceful election cycle for me that I can remember. Add in avoiding almost all the political threads and well...I'll just have a coke and a smile........and maybe a steak and a beer for supper.

oh yeah, my kids are old enough to take the trash out. :p

I like the competing views. Makes you do your homework to find out what the truth is or at least appears to be.

But as an aside, I have noticed that some folks who have been here a long time seem to be very condescending to anyone who expresses a view that is not theirs, but will then turn around and claim that they are the ones being insulted.

You guys don't have to like Crabtown's views. But does his differing view warrant a thread where you're summarily just going to directly and indirectly insult him because his views aren't the same as some of ours?

I mean I think liberalism is crazy and will never understand how Christians reconcile some of the liberal beliefs with God's word.

But big picture again. It's just political theater from both sides.

You are so right. However, starting with the truth, rather than the fiction of the left wing blogs, might provide something besides comic relief. But I must also say that your remark:
is not a pat on the back to CTB!

It is simple, Jesus was a liberal. He talked about caring for the sick, helping the poor, visiting those in jail.

Read the passage in Matthew on the last judgement. Nothing on the conservative agenda there.

I'll stick with Jesus and not right-wing Republicans nor with far left Democrats. I will follow Jesus where he leads and not worry about those who do not understand.

    Zaac;

I guess you've never seen C.T.Boy tell you that you want your wife to die.

He'll tell you Republicans worship money, yet run crying to the moderators when his salvation is questioned. Get that ? He can call an entire political side unsaved.

His stance is the Bible was put together by men who needed to keep women in their place. So it's hard to get him to back up his views with scripture.

Also, go around and see the challenges he has left unanswered.

Also, ask him how many times he's been banned from here, due to how he treats people, and his unGodly views he shamelessly espouses.

I'm sure he probably thinks the same thing about some of the right wing talking points.

It wasn't intended to be. It was intended to be an " I don't understand how they reconcile their liberal theology with God's word anymore than I understand how conservative Christians reconcile voting for a candidate who worships a false god."

Y'all have got your reasons for doing as you do, and perhaps he has his reasons for supporting what he supports.

No I haven't. But is that any different than conservatives calling Obama a baby murderer?

So was he wrong that someone questioned his salvation? And if he did the same, report it.

And a lot of you feel like Romney , the false god worshiper, is less of a threat to the country than is the pro-baby murder, pro-same sex everything Obama. That can't be backed up with Scripture either.

    Point?

I must say that I have yet to see that. But I can say that from day one, I have seen how the ones who have been here the longest tend to treat others. I'm not saying all of them treat folks like that. But there is a pattern that it's my way or I'm going to be just as condescending as the mods will allow me to get away with. And in some instances, the mods are doing the same thing and then chastising others for being "insulting".

He has a different point of view about POLITICS.

I don't go on how he treats "Conservatives", I go on how he treats me. I have never called Obama a baby killer, and have pointed out, several times Romney's many inconsistencies on this issue.

I confront him on it, and want him to back it up. Nothing wrong with that.

Why are you throwing Romney in my face ? I am not a supporter of his, so please, stay on topic.

Point is, he is a troll, and I highly suspect an atheist. I have never seen a single stance of his I could call Christian.

I guess yer gonna need some thicker skin.

That is a flat out fabrication. Giving to help the poor is not a liberal/conservative issue, at least it should not be. Furthermore, it has been shown repeatedly that liberals give far less in charitable contributions than conservatives. When it comes to giving to churches one must ask: do that many liberals attend worship services.

Another fabrication Crabtownboy. The only money liberals want to give away is that collected in taxes.

Sure Crabtownboy! You follow Jesus Christ every time you cast a vote for a "baby killing democrat". That is despicable Crabtownboy, and that is the simple truth, call it whatever you want. Your little god is not liberal, he is a reactionary Marxist, a would be dictator.

I have called Obama a "baby killer" and will continue to do so.

It is a fact that as an Illinois state senator he tried to defeat a bill that would mandate medical care for babies alive after being aborted.

It is also a fact that one of his first acts as president was to sign an executive order reversing the ban that prohibits funding to international family planning groups that provide abortions.

I will say, to Crabby's credit, at least he's more polite and respectful than some on BB when debating.

Jesus was a liberal. He gave out of His own heart. But he wasn't a leftist like the President or those who support him.

He didn't insist on the government doing everything. It was about individuals helping individuals. Your leftist agenda makes the government the provider of all things. You make it sound like you're the super spiritual one who just follows Jesus but you want to make the government force me to do what they want, not out of my own sense of leadership of God. So your leftist agenda makes me pay the government so they can fulfill my responsibility and pay for them to kill the children as well as provide care for all the bureaucrats.

It isn't about who's more spiritual, it is about a Biblical understanding of the role of government and understanding what the Constitution says about the role of government.
