    SAN DIEGO, September 22, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Four San Diego firefighters who were commanded against their wills to drive a fire truck in the city's "gay pride" parade, where they were subjected to explicit sexual advances, are now suing city officials for sexual harassment and violation of free-speech rights.

    Tracy Jarman, the openly lesbian fire chief of the San Diego Fire Department, admitted in her testimony on Thursday that the environment the firefighters were subjected to "could be construed as sexual harassment." The four firefighters (John Ghiotto, Jason Hewitt, Alex Kane and Chad Allison) say they found the sexually explicit environment at the parade so vulgar and disturbing that each of them sought therapy after the event,

    Good for them. I wished I could sit on the jury cuz that is going too far to force someone in a g@y pride parade. I would have called in not going.

    I definitely would have called in sick that day--unless they weren't told until they got to work that day. I would have then refused and stated my Christian and Biblical grounds for it. Had she insisted I go, I would have then quit. However, I would NOT have participated under any circumstances. I would have told her she and the department would be sued if she forced me to participate in that abomination. I have never taken a back seat to voicing my thoughts on homosexuality--especially to one guy who propositioned me and wanted me to be his new "boyfriend". I was quiet and had curly hair, and I guess that attracted him and gave him the wrong impression about me.
