AngelMom,

"I just read through all of your posts, and if I was someone looking at Catholicism, and thinking of joining, your attitude alone, would keep me from it."

"Why are you so adimate about Mary being a perpetual virgin? Why is this so important to you?"

This question is a good one. The question of Mary's perpetual virginity has little to do with the fact that she was a perperptual virgin and much more to do with the fact that Mary is a type of the Church, i.e. in reflecting on qualities of Mary and her life we also come to a greater undrestanding of the Church. This has been recognized very early on in Christian history. The same is true of the assumption of Mary. It has implicatoins in the final "rapture" at the END OF TIME (not 7 years before) of all the saints, body and soul.

This using people's lives to give greater meaning to the truths by God is nothing new. The evnets of the Old Testament and the people frequently, if not always forshadow things in the new. The stories of the Red Sea, Noah's Ark, and the story of Naaman reveal things about Baptism. The story of the manna in the desert, Abraham and Issac, the sacrifice of the pascal lamb, Melchiezedek, point toward the sacrifice on Calvary and the Eucharist. The Story of David forshadows the coming of Christ and the kingdom. So this is not something unusaul to God's word.

Now I wam sure I will get confused looks on this and until you are Catholic you won't understand it so I won't bother to go on.

Thats the thing thessalonian; you continue to be spiteful and hateful to everyone who is not in accordance with your opinion. And you don't just disagree with them but you set out to belittle, and say things to people that are not like a child of God. You deliberately try to provoke them. Then you want everyone to apologize to you.

This is a baptistboard. We use scripture to show our thoughts and ideas. At times you say prove it with scripture. Then you turn around and say, that is just another mans opinion or interpertation of the real words, so its translation has no bearing.

The fact is you are bitter and want to argue. You are looking for attention. You do not have to do all that. We see you. A kinder gentler you would allow for a better discussion and perhaps more people would join in.

But you certainly are not the authority or leader of these threads. ANd you really need to refrain from posting your hate.

"Thats the thing thessalonian; you continue to be spiteful and hateful to everyone who is not in accordance with your opinion. "

I apologized to Neal and I did apologize to you for one thing I said that was out of line. I will say that the spite in one of your posts above were a part of the cause of my improperly lashing out at him. I am sure you will deny this but it is true. As for spite and hate, I hate noone on this board. People don't like the direct nature of my replies. At times I do get a bit too personal toward others and that is a fault I need to work on but you don't know me. Not in the least.

"And you don't just disagree with them but you set out to belittle, and say things to people that are not like a child of God."

This is like the pot calling the kettle black from what I have seen some of your posts.

" You deliberately try to provoke them. Then you want everyone to apologize to you."

Who have I asked for an apology from except for you for you extremely rude comment. Of course you won't.

"This is a baptistboard."

Yes I know.

" We use scripture to show our thoughts and ideas. At times you say prove it with scripture. Then you turn around and say, that is just another mans opinion or interpertation of the real words, so its translation has no bearing. "

In case you haven't noticed I used alot of scripture and logical arguements in replying to you above. And I am not the least afraid in my posts to use scripture in refuting your opinions of it. So who's right?

"The fact is you are bitter and want to argue. "

I prefer the word defend. And sometimes against vipers.

"You are looking for attention. You do not have to do all that. We see you. A kinder gentler you would allow for a better discussion and perhaps more people would join in."

Perhaps. I will try tone it down a bit. But you don't see me. You are putting way to much anger behind my words though I will admit, Saturday night I was angry with you.

"But you certainly are not the authority or leader of these threads. ANd you really need to refrain from posting your hate."

Ditto.

Thess

PS, I will be taking a few days off on the board to reflect on how I can come accross as gentler in my writing without denying the truths of the Cahtolic faith. However Sherrie is mischaracterizing me above. Blessings to all.

Prehaps you should be putting bids on my plank picker on Ebay. I'm upgrading. "Inquiring minds want to know" was offensive to me. Thus my comment that this thread redeces Catholic beliefs to a sex tabloid issue. You disrespect trash and distort every day AngelMom. Your means of spreading the SDA False Gospel is bash Catholicism and they will come rolling in the SDA doors.
You SDA's are the most viral people of all on this board and others and hell would freeze over before I would fellowship in an SDA Church. Blessings.
</font>
Is your name Blessings? Because if not, you just signed blessings to a post that was cursings.

Let's see, this post FOLLOWED his apology to Neal.

His aplology to Sherrie followed this post.

Am I to think that 'there isn't that much anger' behind this post?

Or is this one of those 'I really am mad' posts?

I really don't care if 'inquiring minds want to know' offended you. It is not an offensive statement, it doesn't have the words VILE or HELL in it in a derogatory fashion, and I AT NO TIME have EVER on ANY message board disrespected or trashed ANYONE.

EVER.

The Catholic Church is the Whore of Revelation.

You think that is bashing because you are in it.

I am not the only person on this board who has come to the realization of that prophecy. I have also stated MANY times that I do not see the INDIVIDUAL members of the CC as whores or even INTENTIONAL parts of the beast, but as SINCERE Christians who are truly and completely deceived.

NOW, knowing THAT, HOW can it be said that I am BASHING and degrading a persons character?

People tell me all the time that I am in a cult, but you don't see me calling them vile and saying things like 'hell freezes over' to them.

Sometimes the Truth is NOT nice. But it is always necessary to SPEAK the Truth....in LOVE.

I ALWAYS have a Spirit of LOVE and sincere concern for the people that I am posting to.

EVEN if it comes across as sarcasm! Read Paul! Very sarcastic. BUT NEVER hateful, or crude.

God Bless

btw, I changed the first post to this thread as soon as you voiced your offense. You didn't even notice did you?

It is one thing to debate the various viewpoints of fellow contributors to the discussion and another to denigrate each other. An appropriate apology was offered, and that should end it.

Let us all stay true to the subject matter and try not to get overly personal. This way we will all get along despite our differences. Barring this, we ought to avoid debate once we have made our point because there is nothing more to be gained.

Cheers and God bless,

</font>
What I find amazing is that you seem to have no clue just how offensive you are when you tell Catholics their Church is the "whore".

What I am coming to realize is that even when Catholics protest what you are saying, you don't care that you are offending them.

You can try and rationalize it all you want, but it is a personal attack when you tell someone their Church is a whore.

I suppose your Bible must be different than mine.

LaRae,

Perhaps we do have a different Bible, either that or you don't want to see what it says.

I said before, I will say again, JUST FOR YOU ;)

The Bible tells us of A Whore. This Whore is A Church. This Church is Apostate, and has turned from the Bible as their Authority.

This 'Woman' is the Cathlic Church.

She also has children. Apostate Protestant Churches.

They are the daughters of the Mother Church.

I am not saying (I have said this before) that the PEOPLE, the individuals, are antichrist, or even intentionally part of the Beast power, but that they are SINCERE Christians, who (some of them) LOVE God, and are sincere in what they are doing.

None the less, they are wrong.

If they think I am wrong, they should prove it.

Because they know they cannot, their only relpy is to be offended, and rude.

I am suprised that you would defend his behavior and try to rebuke me for telling people what the Bible says.

God Bless

3AM, the best that you can possibly say is that is your interpretation .

Or do you believe that you can not possibly be wrong in your interpretation?

</font>
T2U,

I could be wrong in my interpretation that God is real. I think it goes WITHOUT saying that what I post is MY interpretation.

I studied this for over a year straight, weiging it against scripture and history. So NO, I do not consider that I am wrong. I have no doubt that this is correct.

The Catholic Church is the Whore, the Papacy in Rome is the Beast she rides on, her daughters are Apostate Protestantism, AND the 2 horned beast is specifically AMERICAN Apostate Protestantism, The Pope is the little horn.

God Bless

Interesting.

My take is that the antichrist was one of the reformers that split the Church with false teachings. Actually, I suspect that all of the reformers on down have been antichrists. The Bible speaks of more than one you know.

Revelation refers us to Daniel where we learn that the abomination is the desecration of the Temple in the taking away of the sacrifice. That would be the reformers and their spiritual descendants denying the Eucharist.

And disrespecting the Saints in Heaven. Kind of what I hear from some on this board concerning our Blessed Mother.

666 is the number... John 6:66. They denied what Jesus was telling them about the Eucharist to come. Our sepearated brothers still deny it.

So you see, by my interpretation the whore, the beast, the antichrist,... it's all talking about those who revile and deny the teachings of the Church.

T2U,

I have a question for you.

Who told you that? Or did you come to that conclusion on your own?

God Bless

ps, yes I know there has been more than one antichrist. It is a spirit. ;)

Just personal speculation on my part.

I don't hold it as doctrine.

Oh yes we do have different Bibles. I have one with all the books in it.

Suffice it to say that you read it how you want to read it....afterall it would hardly suit your purpose to do otherwise.

The Bible does not say that the whore is a Church...it's just your personal opinion that it does. The Bible doesn't say the whore is the Catholic Church either. I'm pretty sure my Revelations is not that much different than yours.

By the way...did you know that Revelations almost didn't make it into the Bible? Where did you get your Bible from? Do you know the answer?

If you think your particular way of reading the Bible is right that's your choice, I believe in free will.

Just seems to me that you think it's ok to be offensive and insulting but have a problem when someone acts in a like manner towards you.

I have a feeling that one day you are going to be very surprised about what is and isn't true.

I don't know if you intended it this way, but by implication you are saying that all who do not subscribe to Catholic doctrine are lost and not saved. After all, to be antichrist is to be opposite of Christ, right?

Ahhh I get it, you're Catholic! That is why you are defending him.

What difference does it make whether I have as many books as you? I came to this conclusion based on The Revelation of JESUS CHRIST given to John. And a smidgen of Daniel. (visions from God). So apples and oranges aside, both messages came from God. I don't need all the books that you have to get what Daniel and John were given.

And it goes without saying that the whole of your denomination stands on this principle. Or rather how the POPE and church fathers read it.

Yes it does. And I am hardly alone in my opinion.
Yes it does. In more than one place.
I am pretty sure that the people who teach you what to believe about Revelation is what makes your interpretation different.
That doesn't suprise me. Half of it is about the Catholic Church so it would make plenty of sense for the Catholic Church to disclude it. What made them change their minds?
The Lifeway Christian Bookstore on Forsythe Ave, in Monroe, LA. You want the phone number?
Why thank you, that is very generous of you.
Actually I don't think it would be okay for me to be offensive and insulting. You show me where my behavior was like Thessalonians and I will apologize. I have NEVER spoken to someone like that on this or any other board.

My comments about the RCC are about the RCC, not people. I do not call people names, like VILE, and tell people that HELL would have to freeze over before I would fellowship with them.

Nope, that day already came, it was about 3 years ago, when I finally submitted my heart and mind to Christ, and the Holy Spirit came inside me and led me into ALL truth.

Would you be brave enough to pray directly to the Father and ask Him to send the Holy Spirit through Jesus to guide you into all TRUTH?

Or are you too afraid that it would prove your Church false?

Think about that.

God Bless

Just personal speculation on my part.

I don't hold it as doctrine.
</font>
Would it be okay if I pointed out a problem with it?

The obomination of desolation is not what put an end to the Sacrifice and offerings. Jesus did.

The obomination of desolation is what destroyed the temple. The literal one. In 70AD.

I also noticed that you said that the Protestants that don't keep the 'sacrifice' of the Eucharist the way the CC does, is in effect putting an END to the S&O, but there is a problem.

There are still 1,000,000,000+ people still keeping it in Catholic churches all over the world every day, so it has HARDLY been put to an end, wouldn't you agree?

The Sacrifice and Offerings that were ended were the LITERAL sacrificial and oblation systems that were the shadow of Christ. When Jesus died, the veil in the Temple was ripped, and OFFICIALLY the Sacrifices STOPPED. NOW, Jews may or may not have continued to sacrifice, but it was not to God, because the ultimate Sacrifice had been made. Jesus. So if they were sacrificing after the death of Christ, it would have been in vain.

NOW, in AD 70 when Rome, 'the desolator Prince' came and destroyed the temple and most of Jerusalem, that was the abomination that made DESOLATE.

Do you see the connection?

Your senario (as interesting as it is) is flawed because it doesn't reach to the extent that the Bible says it would.

Sacrifices END.
Temple made DESOLATE.

Doesn't really ring true of some people who didn't want to keep the Sacrements anymore.

God Bless
