    I was the one who "hates" (a bit strong of a word I agree...lets just say I disk like it ALOT...lol) Andy Griffith. I don't care for alot of the shows that came out of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Give me shows from the 80's!! If I wanted "Good 'Ole Boy" humour I'd rather watch "Dukes of Hazzard." <--A show I love BTW.

    I confess, I dont mind watching Dr Phil, I like his "Confrontational Counselling" although I am not sure how it would go down in an appointment in a Baptist Minsters office! [​IMG]

    1. TV execs are not appealing to the BB demographics here, and there are probably more Americans these days who love the trash on Jerry Springer more than they do Andy Griffith.

    2. I love the Judge Judy Show. I think she is awesome.

    There are many who don't appreciate that it was a show about goodness and deciency with characters who were able to laugh at themselves with all their faults and quirkiness.

    Good old family values have certainly gone out of style.

    Those of us who love Andy Griffith are considered stodgy and old fashioned.

    I've always liked 'TAGS' but I don't think it's true that the characters "laughed at themselves with all their faults and quirkiness." The main comic character, Deputy Barney Fife, was funny mostly because he always did take himself so seriously, thinking he was a pillar of tough justice, while he was a stumblebump everybody else laughed at. Aunt Bee definitely didn't laugh at herself either, with her ideas about orderliness and reputation. And so it goes for the rest of the town, except for Andy himself, who was "sheriff" more in the sense of protecting sensitive peoples' feelings than in protecting them against crime.

    a fortune.
