You are quite right in your assessment. They are afraid; fear is what drives them. It is the threatening of that male ego and their good ol' boys club. The result is to label us liberals and heretics when it is a proven fact that this is not a liberal-conservative issue, as has been shown.

Actually, one poster here has said that at her church, the cut off point for having women teachers is age six.

Contrast that to another claiming that there is no problem with women teaching teenage young men.

Contrast that to the SBC's President's church, where a women teaches a coed adult Sunday School class.

Contrast that to this Reformed Baptist pastor, who says no one but the [male] elders should be teaching at church, even linking Sunday School itself (as well as the WMU!) to the rise of rebellious '19th century feminism':

Yes, this shows how truly ridiculous this position is. But let them keep talking; the more they talk, the deeper pit they dig. What you posted above is quite hilarious! Stevie Wonder could see how stupid this is.

Post the scriptural references and keep the editoral out. What scriptures support this. Since the writting of Paul in the verse that says a woman is not to teach a man nor usurp authority of aman was counter to the culture of the Ephesians of which Timothy was stationed then how is the verse cultural and can be changed?

You answered a post which show the Ephesians were culturally into priestesses the worship of Diana and Artemis, Pual was writing against their culture and saying women are not to teach men or have authority over a man because Adam was created first. Where do you find scripture not an article with a op-ed that someone gives his opions and thoughts on but scripture you can break down to show Paul meant something else or that scripture can be changed to fit our cultural or philosophical belifes. Please show us the scripture where God says we can interpret His word based on these things. I have given scripture, exegeted it with a word study and shown where Paul was teaching against the culture of the Ephesians and you continue to posr op-eds.
Please show the scriptures apart from the op-ed.

All that is asked is for Scripture that clearly and expressly agrees with your position without the extra commentary.

And where does does Scripture refer to the qualification that a woman pastor should have only one husband and no boyfriends?

Do you mean those of Us here refusing to try to bend the scriptures to accomadate current cultural bias that IF you do not grant women means to be pastors in church, are mean spirited male biased against women christians?

We prefer to stay with what God states on this, NOT what we think God should have done!

except that the Lord expressly has stated in the bible that males are allowed to be as such, not ladies!

Lets see the origianl Greek say the "Aner Mia Gune" not "Gune Mia Aner"

    Gune
a woman of any age, whether a virgin, or married, or a widow
    a wife
    of a betrothed woman

    Mia
    only one, someone

    Aner

    with reference to sex
    of a male
    of a husband
of a betrothed or future husband
with reference to age, and to distinguish an adult man from a boy
    any male

You stated "If the cleric in question is a woman she should have only one husband, and not more then one, and no "boyfriends" on the side"

So you see that God allows it to be interchanged at mans whim? So that if we disagree with what it says we can change it? Like when Paul says "be not drunk with wine where in is excess but be filled with the Spirit" we can say it's ok to be drunk with wine now because it is culturally acceptable because people get drunk all the time, is that how you see scripture?
