    I'm pretty sure that we didn't get the promised Contract with America. Even Newt Gingrich was compromising for fear of Democratic talking points.

    The Republicans betrayed us by compromising out of fear of losing their seats.

    Really? Yes.

    Bills were introduced for all 10 points of the Contract with America. Some were defeated in the Senate, some died on Clinton's desk, and some became law.

    If you want to slam Republicans, do it for something real.

    What billwald posted was an outright lie. You'll have to hate them for something else.

    Your last paragraph is all that needs saying about the whole subject. The myth is that the choice is between the Democrats and Republicans. The reality is that both parties are anti-Constitutional and are the real enemy to those who feel this country should be run by the Constitution.
