Maybe you've forgotten but in our current socialist state anybody that demands our help (treasure) is going to get it.

Of course we're going to help illegals. That's what we do.

If you don't like it then you're probably an extremist and should be stripped of your rights and waterboarded.

That's a little like saying that the Poles or the French should have welcomed the German invasion as an opportunity to share the true faith. I doubt if there's a person on this board who wouldn't give a meal or a drink of water to one who came asking, regardless of their legal status. But at what point do we become a real country with real borders? When are we morally justified in defending our borders and enforcing our immigration laws? No country would let millions of Americans enter illegally in a never-ending stream.

I agree with you one hundred per cent. I go to the jail and a local prison and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
If I was used by God to share the Good News and they accepted Christ as their Savior while they were on the run from the law, I would still turn them over to the law. Accepting Christ as ones' Savior means your sins are forgiven but it does not mean you get out of paying your debt to the state.

I agree with you again one hundred percent. I believe it is my job as a Christian to obey the law as long as it does not go against the Bible. Do we just pick out the laws we want to obey? I didn't see Jesus or any of the Apostles teach to over throw the government even though Simon the Zealot was one of them who's back ground would have been for it. I didn't see them leading a march or something to over throw slavery, they seemed to work well with in the law of the government of the day.

A side note on law, I drive a truck, if my log book would say I'm in Nitro, West Virginia and a drunk driving runs a stop sign and I run over him and he dies in Gassaway, West Virginia, I'm at fault and could go to the big house for a while for vehicular homicide. Why, because I'm not obeying the law, I'm where I should not be according to the law.

They Should've Used the Romans ???

I get a pass because I used the Romans to explain my theoretical reasons for sending illegals back to their homeland.

Next time guys, stick with the Roman Empire when drawing comparison's, and you won't get accused of the "Nazi" thing  Still, I think Alkire and Nightshift spoke their opinions quite well, and I'd have to agree with them, except for being associated with the "Nazi" comparison, which I don't believe they were making in the first place.:BangHead:

Well some people's knowledge of history doesn't go much further back than about 1940. I recall that you thought Pontiac was allied with the British. But I could have used any example really.

Sorry, I shouldn't have interrupted your pat-yourself-on-the-back session.

Yes good point. As a Native American said recenly about our borders, "If you don't want the country, give it back to us!"
