President Bush, preparing the nation for the possibility of war, said Thursday night the United States will drive Saddam Hussein from power if it comes to war in Iraq - with or without support from France, Germany and other skeptical allies.

"It's time for people to show their cards and let people know where they stand in relation to Saddam," Bush said at a prime-time news conference.

Bush said he had not decided whether to invade Iraq but that it was only a matter of days before a U.N. Security Council vote on a U.S.-backed resolution authorizing force.

In our newspaper The Advertiser, it was reported that President Bush stated "When it comes to our security, we really dont need anyones permission".

And I agree with his statement! [IMG]

As we are arresting top-ranking terrorists, including two of Bin Laden's sons; many American's fear retaliation on our home shores.

Many people feel if we go to war it will cause more terrorist attacks in America.

We were NOT at war when terrorists bombed The World Trade Center in 1981; nor were we at war on 9/11.

The terrorists are going to carry out their plans whether we go to war or not.

I say let's get it over with already!

    Time is short.

Agreed. People seem to forget Islamic terrorists have committed acts against Americans through the years. And people seem to forget that war was declared on US in a fatwa issued by Osama bin Laden!

Many people forget that Americans abroad have been subject to terrorist attacks since the 1970s. And many Americans never gave the terrorists too much thought until 09/11.

I too agree that we shouldn't be bound by the UN.

I'd rather see us follow our own constitution, which we don't do either. Congress has the authority and responsibility to declare war. This is not a dictatorship.
