Sadly, considering his advanced age (76), I think we must assume that Dr Kennedy will probably not return to full-time ministry. Maybe he will be able to do some preaching (etc)?

Thanks for reminding us of Dr. Kennedy's health, Martin. I've learned so much from him over the years.

==Your very welcome. I hate to say it but I had really forgotten all about him in recent days. It hit me to check up on his condition and that is why I posted it here. I think his situation is really sad but it highlights something that we need to get use to. Many of these big name preachers are getting old. We have already lost men like Adrian Rogers, John Walvoord, Zola Levitt, and Dave Breese, and we are going to lose more. Think about the advanced age of men like Billy Graham, John MacArthur, Charles Stanley, Charles Ryrie, Tim LaHaye, Jerry Falwell, RC Sproul, and others. I think all of those men are at least in their seventies or are in their late sixties (Graham being the oldest). We don't have much longer to sit under their godly teachings. While that thought maybe sad but I am sure God is raising up a younger generation of leaders like James Merritt, Andy Stanley, Al Mohler, Ed Hindson, James White, Ergun Caner, etc.

Note that I included a range of teachers and not just Calvinists...

I am very proud of you Martin ;)

I am ashamed to say that I too had forgotten about Dr. Kennedy's poor health. I do agree that God will not leave us leadershipless (mmmmmm on that word).

I wonder what our kids will think when we talk about our generation's spiritual leaders - like Dr. Kennedy (or in my personal case Mark Corts). My mom never ceases to talk about Angel Martinez. I never heard him, but she remembers his sermons and brings him up when we talk about revival. She remembers Criswell too and mentions him occassionally.
