Unless your user name is obvious, such as your given name or a certain quality, what is the meaning or reason behind your choice of a user name on the BB. Mine is because of what the scripture says about the Word being sharper than any two-edged sword. Since I'm a minister the Word we preach can "cut" and pierce even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit and to the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I'm a school librarian. One of the little ones called me "booklady" one day and I loved it!

Mine is a nickname I had / have from High School. It's a combination of my last name, and the culture when I played high school football. Everyone was some kind of "dog"...K-dog, T-dog, snot-dog, web-dog. Funny that it was way before Al Gore invented the internet ;) People think it has to do with the world wide "web" or something related.

The last name of a character in a book I wrote (about a fictional Singles' group in a fictional Baptist church in a fictional Texas town).

I was in the habit of registering things online under our iguana's name. It was always funny the get credit card ads in the mail for him or to have telemarketers call and ask to speak to him.

He's dead now, but the name lives on.

Well, I am in the Air Force (only for another year or so) and my last base was in Hawaii where I stayed for 4 years thus the name.

When I left Hawaii for my current base here in Texas I nearly changed my name but then realized that all of His creation and natural beauty was like paradise. His creation is awesome no matter where you are located.

I can't wait to see the true paradise in Heaven some day.

I live in North Carolina, and when I registered here I was a bivocational pastor. The term tentmaker comes from Acts 18 where Paul lived with Aquila and Priscilla in Corinth and worked with them making tents. A tentmaker can refer to anyone who, while they may have a call to preach or minister, they still continue to work a secular occupation as well, just like Paul did.

Since then I am no longer a pastor, but I hope to be again someday and until then will just keep making tents (although in my case it is engineering work in the textile industry)

Lagardo, that's so funny about your iguana getting credit cards! A dog I had got both an AARP card and a credit card in the mail. Actually, he got a lot of mail! I took a picture of him walking into Pets-R-Us with the credit card in his collar and sent it in to the credit card company! Just goes to prove anything with a pulse can get credit!

Sopranette--because I love to sing soprano, French background, and I'm also just a tad over dramatic .

    love,

    Sopranette
