I have not accused anyone of "not being there" or being a coward.

You are certainly self-righteous today. Why so?

It appears you and others are not sorry that so many young Americans have been harmed in unnecessary wars this century. Why do you have no pity for lives ruined needlessly?

I don't know why. I've talked about it before. You really have no idea who I am and for many reasons most of that will remain so.

Being fooled is one hazard of jumping to conclusions without any information before jumping to that conclusion. It also shows that emotions rule where rational thought would be better. I have no real trust in those who let their emotions rule their replies on this BB.

Your first reply is your answer to what you think of people.

Why would I not be serous in wishing you blessings?

No, you accuse others of hate, with no idea of how they live.

You sure don't want to talk about the substance of your untruthful thread. Why is that ?

See your own hypocrisy ? See how you judge, while saying others are wrong for judging ? Can you see it ?

More than you. I vote for candidates that will end this madness. You, on the other hand REFUSE TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE the half a million Iraqi civilians, many of them women and children, were starved to death under Clinton and Gore's EVIL sanctions against the population of that country. And no, I won't post the link to it AGAIN, so you can refuse to acknowledge it AGAIN. I'll just assume you're being an untruthful hypocrite. Because that's what you do, here.

Just sayin', I'd like an acknowledgement of my post, CTB. I've noticed that you like to ignore things that smash your point.
    Edited for spelling.

He's particularly adept at this dodge; just like most liberals - "If I ignore--- it'll go away.":BangHead::BangHead:

    It's an extremely cowardly act.

I will take your word for it you were in the Army. I assume that is the United States. Your posts give the ring of someone who never saw a day of duty in the US military. However, that aside, you keep referring to people who were wounded needlessly or lives ruined. You are old enough to know, so were you asking the same questions when 58,000 Americans died and who knows how many wounded when we were in Vietnam? Did you ask that of the worst, most evil President ever to conduct foreign policy on a false premise, Lyndon Baines Johnson, a Democrat?

There are two types of people – those who see these military service members as heroes and those that view them as victims. If you believe them to be heroes and are one, then you may exploit that for your own advantage but it is difficult to exploit them. If you believe them to be victims then you exploit them for your own agenda as your agenda is what causes you to view them in that manner.

Yes Jon, I see that and very good analysis. It is just hard for me to see, after having served, that one would be on the side of exploiting them and still have been in the Army. I know for a fact Brother Curtis, Rev Mitchell, numbersconnected (in combat), and of course Sapper Woody is presently serving. Their posts just have a different ring to me than CTB. I assume he would not lie about military service, so I am at a loss of an explanation as to why he feels this way.

and then to suggest anyone is not "sorry" about their deaths. I have no idea what that means "sorry". But it is a cheap shot made out of emotionalism. That kind of rhetoric has no place in decent discussions.

His comments certainly reflect an attitude that stands in antithesis of what one would expect of a service member, particularly one that has extensive experience in the military. The reason that I say this is most of our soldiers who return wounded do not feel victimized by the government. They typically view their service as necessary and their circumstances as unfortunate rather than tragic. It is rare to find an injured soldier who blames the government for his/her injury. Military members enlist to serve, knowing the risks. But these are people and there is no “typical” person. There are also many vets who have service related issues, problems getting them resolved to their satisfaction, and are disgruntled.

I kind of feel Toby Kieth has exploited some of us. I get just as creeped out by his pro-war stuff as I do that ignorant hippie "protest" music.

I would love to say what I really think about Crabby and his ilk but I'd be banned.
