    Hidee ho! :wavey:

Any of you guys or gals have a Palm Pre or Pixi Pre and use FREE Mobile Hot Spot?

My niece does and she loves it. Until the phone system is updated where we live (which is probably never) slow dial up is all that's offered. And since our Verizon cell is due for an update, we're thinking of going this route. We wouldn't need the hot spot every day and I'm sure we'd keep track in order to stay within the given limitations.

If you've tried this and wouldn't mind sharing your experiences, that'd be great!

    Thanks bunches! :type:

We stopped at the Verizon store yesterday to gather info and the tech said that if anyone upgrades to a Palm Pre or Pixi Pre now, Hot Spot will remain free through a grandfather clause. She said for those who purchase after the free Hot Spot promotion ends, Hot Spot will cost an add'l $40 per month. If you're eligible for an upgrade, the phone will cost anywhere from 99 cents to $30.

3G Hot Spot offers 5 free gigabytes per month and you can use up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices (including notebooks, netbooks, MP3 players, cameras, PDAs, portable gaming systems plus) all at once. Just wanted to get the word to you, that since this is a promotion, if you're interested, look into it soon.

Our upgrade is available beginning today, and we've decided to take the plunge. Cheers!
