I watched it after the fact on BBC America aired on my local PBS station. What makes the high numbers watching the RNC even more impressive is that fact that McCain's acceptance speech was up against the NFL season opener between NY Giants & Washington Redskins.

We had both on in your house. I think what this says is record breaking numbers of American's are watching this election. This ought to be good by Nov 4.

I watched a lot of the DNC last week but I did not watch the RNC except for maybe five minutes this week. I did hear some excerpts of the RNC on the liberal talk radio shows that I listen to.

See, Ken, there's your problem. I watched both conventions as much as possible. You can't gripe about what you don't know about, sir.

Obama is so scarey. Mark my words. We will pay.

My wife doesn't care for politics. I was doing well to get her to watch the DNC. She prefers that we watch DVDs from Netflix. :)

Besides, I knew that listening to the Republicans badmouth Senator Obama would do nothing but arouse my anger so I saw no reason to put myself through that. I get more than enough of that in this forum.

It wasn't so bad that they bashed him so, most of what they said was lies...

They repeatedly said he would raise our taxes. Unless their constituents are on the top 5% of America, that is an absolute lie.

Also, if Palin is as prepared as Obama to be President, why is it they won't put her on the talk shows where the media can ask her questions. We want to hear more than a prepared speech.

Depends on who reports the numbers and no one knows for sure. I've seen where the same number of people watch both conventions. I do not see it as important. Conventions are deadly boring and speeches are so predicible. Why watch them? We know both will praise their candidate and people will scream and jump up and down.......but nothing of substance will be said.
