    Voddie does indeed preach Christ.

I would ask, however: Is there room in Voddie's view of Jesus for the compassionate, loving, Friend that He told His disciples they were to Him? That we as believers are now?

I'm not sure. And if there is not? Well then, Voddie's view of God would be limited. The truth is, both images (though I would not go so far as to claim Jesus was "wimpy" or "sissified" -- clearly that was not the case) are valid. He could be both compassionate and vulnerable, and at the same time strong, virile and decisive. There is nothing wrong with seeing Him both ways, because He exhibited all those traits.

Not only are there other gospels being preached, which are called another gospel but there are also other jesus's being preached. Some people say, we may disagree on a lot of points but after all is said we preach the same jesus. Do we?

What, exactly, is "just stupid" about it?

That is a common word among those that are in Grade One. Can you enlighten us why or why not you disagree with said post without using a pre-kindergarten vocabulary such as "stupid."

We do love the sword breathing Jesus don't we, preaches really good.

It is one of many images of Jesus in scripture. I wouldn't say what he said was wrong, how could anyone there it is in scripture.

I would hope he also took the time to present the other facets of Jesus. Gentle with a child, grateful to a woman, indignant with religious leaders, rebuking of his followers, silent with his accusers. Jesus wasn't a flat, only one thing character and we should be careful not to present him as such. Don't know if this was the case as it was only a 5-6 minute clip, just an observation in general.

Voddie Bauchman certainly believes in a compassionate and loving Savior. He is one of the most eloquent Reformed Baptist preachers on the national scene today.

I would say if he doesn't preach the kind and loving Jesus, then he is as guilty as the preachers who peddle the sissified Jesus.
