Does that mean that Justice Souter denied the applicant?

    Not dreaming, Roger.

But I am paying attention. Sorry you're not interested enough to pay attention with me. :(

I don't let the corrupt old media tell me what is important and what isn't.

The Governor of Hawaii and the Secretary of State, along with the records department, certified Obama's birth certificate as authentic a long, long time ago. They can file lawsuits until Obama's second term is over, there is no basis for a court to rule on it.

Wiley Drake is just another nut case who is not happy with the election results, and doesn't know how to handle it. That's the problem you have when you believe these rumors and lies that are kept alive by "sources" that can't be verified.

They sorta didn't didn't look like they were supposed to for that time period.

Either way, the courts will resolve it soon.

I'll be watching. The willfully ignorant won't.

The burden of proof in the lawsuit is with the filing, not with Obama. With a certified copy of a birth certificate sealed by the state of Hawaii, no court will hear this case, since is is without a legal basis.

And the trump is in the fact that whether Obama has an authentic birth certificate or not, his mother does, and the fact that she was a native born American citizen makes her son one, too, regardless of where he might have been given birth geographically.

But this is yet another one of those rumors circulated around by the liars of conservative talk radio. Barack Obama received more votes in a presidential election than any one else in history. His election appears to be somewhat of a blockade to the corporate interests who have been ripping us off for the last eight years, unchecked by a government charged with protecting the interests of all its citizens. It will be interesting, over the next days, weeks and months, to see what other lies they will come up with, and how many ignorant dupes fall for them.

If he is the uniter he says he is why would he not produce the documentation that has been requested, satisfy those seeking information and move on with his unifying agenda? This is not the only thing that has been with held from what I've read - the media has requested a number of items.

Simply because it gives credence to an insignificant, petty, ludicrous lawsuit. I would ignore it as well. He has produced a birth cert that people were not happy with. Genug ist genug.

I don't think anybody on this board would dream of thinking I am liberal in my politics or theology. I campaigned against Obama on my web site. I voted for McCain. I hurt when he lost. The election is over and Obama will serve for the next 4 years if he stays alive and healthy.
It is now our job as Christians to pray for him daily .Pray that God give him wisdom and that he follow Godly precepts. Pray that if he is not saved that become saved. Pray that he seeks Gods' council in all that he does.
We may not like how the election turned out, there is little we can change about it. Now is the time to pray for America and the elected officials like never before.

This is the same information that is on the birth certificate that I sent wit my daughter to college for her work study papers. They accepted it. When each of my children were born I received 2 papers. One is a regular birth certificate that speaks of all the normal information including the delivering doctor, the hospital, parent's place of birth, etc. The other paper is a shorter version with the pertinent information - name, parent's name, place of birth, date and time of birth and I think that's about it. Both have seals on them which make them legal documents. If that paper that is posted has a seal on it, it's a legal paper. Period.

This one does not appear to have a seal though one I saw online did "look" like it had a seal, not sure why there are two different ones either. Thanks for the fact that there are two types, I've gotten several over the years for the family and all are complete copies, not readers digest versions and one was from Honolulu, HI. ?????

    This makes sense

I must ask. Why do you make these little snide remarks so often? Can't you comment on something without the put down to those who don't agree with you? I believe if you show a little respect toward others, you would gain respect in return. I know I would listen more closely to what you say, and I know your point of view is often of great value and adds to the discussion at hand.

I believe if more of us did this, including myself, the Christian testimony of the Baptist Board political forum would increase. Please allow me to exit my soapbox now.

    Uh huh.

Kinda like the corrupt old media- decide what the public "needs" to hear and what they don't.

    You should like that approach.

I will be praying with you Brother, not because of our leader but because of the condition of our nation. I don't envy anyone inheriting this mess. I will be happy if he can stop the job losses. That has to be key to turning this thing around. Consumers can't consume if they have no money with which to consume which puts a big curve ball in the idea of Capitalism.

Thats another good tactic of the radical right webloids - when you run out of arguments cast aspersions on your opponent.

The whole story should have runs its course a long time ago. Lawsuit after lawsuit has been thrown out of courts. Not a single reputable news source, even the most conservative ones, have decided to run with it. It has been primarily run on blogs and discussion boards like this one.

I can imagine though, that when this is all said and done, there will be some who call the new president 'our non-citizen president' with no proof and no evidence other than a little old granny's memory and expect us to accept it as truth.
