    Verbal, plenary preservation. Have you heard this terminology and if so, is it a biblical truth?

    Yes I heard of it, and I don't agree with it. The scripture is certainly inspired, but the majority of it is not dictated.

    Designating it as a "new doctrine" would denote disagreement effectively (option 3).

    Note that VPP does not have to do with mechanical dictation in inspiration, it has to do with method of preservation.
