    Hi Y'all [IMG]
I know you all, will think I'm nutts But. Did God tell Paul to write most of it. If not why do we have his letters, and why do we count them as scripture. We have lots of preachers who have great testimonies who's writtings aren't in the Bible. Is it only because he was the first preacher to the gentiles.
    May God Bless You.

Considering Paul's repeated confession about himself
It is not difficult to see that Paul was Highly educated, under the greatest teacher in the land. Therefore it is easy to understand that he might also be the most prolific writer of all the Apostles. Luke was not an Apostle, but he was also quite educated being a doctor. Between Paul and Luke, they wrote most of the New testament.

Why did Paul separate himself from the other Apostles? Isn't he the one who says that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves as some have?

Now, why would such a knowledgeable man go off into Arabia and not immediately to Jerusalem for confirmation in what he was going to teach?

Are these valid questions? If not, forgive me for asking them, if so, then explain the theologically denominational impaired mess we now have.

Remember, when Paul did go to Jerusalem, why did he?

Just trying to make you say.....hmmm.... ;)

    Hi Yelsew and Frogman; [IMG]
Please don't misunderstand my questions I'm not going to through Paul out of my Bible. The reason I asked these questions is because I don't know.
I understand that the disciples were the first followers of Christ and I'm sure Christ must have instructed them about what to write. It's just that I can't find anything that confirms this with Paul. Luke is another matter he was made a fisher of men the same as the rest.If the disciples were in suspection of him why shouldn't I be. The thing I find intresting is that the disciples with the exception of Peter all wrote books.
Recently I discover there are several books that were originally in the Bible but taken out.Sort of buggs me that someone would do this but there must have been a reason for it.
    May God Bless You.

    Who wrote 1 & 2 Peter?

The Gospel of Thomas, an apostle
The Gospel of Clement, not an apostle
Neither in the accepted canon of scipture.

There are (or were) catholic posters here with much greater knowledge on the subject than I.

It is the Apostles that were the first hand eye witnesses to Jesus. Anyone can be a disciple (adherant) of Jesus. All believers in Jesus, who live their faith, are disciples of Jesus.

Sorry ILUVLIGHT, my post was meant not to belittle yours, but rather to make the point that the education of Paul meant nothing. Paul was a Pharisee and the Lord said except your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the pharisee [ye] shall in not case enter in to the kingdom of heaven. He was talking about faith alone, nor knowledge alone.

Well, I guess my post was out of place...sorry.

In the post above the given quote should read:

He wasn't talking about faith alone nor knowledge alone.

Bro. dallas...correcting himself because all the Arminians have made a choice to not post this afternoon and all the Calvinists were predestinated to not post on the afternoon of Oct. 1, 2003.

May God Bless you where-e'er you are found, on either end or jarring hard in the middle :D
