I'd agree. But in that case, John's right, isn't he? I mean, we could hardly consider Satan an atheist.

He also asked another character. Ready to confess your sins? Atheists believe that sin does not exist since the bible is full of fairy tales in their foolish logic.

Which would you rather have: the atheist, the one who believes he's god, or the one who does evil in God's name?

Atheists don't believe in sin as taught by the Bible, but many of them believe in sin.

But my question is why is this important?

Then do not participate. You know where the door is do you not?

Hey Mitchell did you know that there are four rabbits on your church lawn eating your grass?

so why is it important? I am not saying I don't like the thread, I am saying why is it so important that a fictional character in a movie is an atheist or not. Maybe if you don't want to answer questions you ought not to post in here.

Call me stupid, but I thought that asking the OP questions about their posts WAS participating in the thread.

I think that the director's atheism is more important than an imaginary character. The fact that Evan has begun a thread about its theological beliefs is evidence that the creators of the movie have a religious influence on at least some people.

Perhaps Evan would answer Tom's question.
