I would agree that a large part of the responsibility for the Viet Nam war lays at the feet of LBJ. However, Nixen blocked a peace initiative prior to the 1968 election to win the Presidency.

He knows all that. TND is basing his claims on what Wolfowitz and his AEI neoconservative fellows claim.

See this? I have never said what CMG is accusing me of saying. In this thread he has twisted my words, claimed I've said things I've never said, accused me of making claims I've never made, and has accused me of being a democrat, a liberal and a hippie.

This is how neo conservatives argue. They use debate tactics like this and expect people to believe this somehow gives them credibility. And they wonder why the "Tea Party" republicans are moving the GOP away from neo conservatism and back towards real conservative ideals as the neocons kick and scream and demonize the Tea Party the whole way.

So what do you propose that we do about Iran? You say that we should "support" an Israeli war on Iran. Do you really think that doesn't mean that the U.S. gets involved with troops on the ground? That's naive.

We didnt "gain" the hatred of anybody by wasting lives and resources in the Middle Beast. They have hated the Europeans(USA, by Association) since the 1st Crusade.
The Europeans have hated us for making it without them, and their permission.
The World hates any one that stands with Christ, even if it is just a nod, like Christmas being a federal Holiday.

With that said, we had an effective policy for keeping Irán busy. We set up Saddam in Iraq, gave him weapons, and let the ages old blood fued between islamic sects( based on race, of course) run its natural course.
The inner CIA power struggle, between patriots and NWOists, left G.H.W.Bush with a "mission", to undo the 'wrong' that had been done, during his tenure there, in reaction to Carter's fellow socialists's bumbling.
So, we went on a 24-year-long crusade.

All we had to do was let the Chaldeans worry about the Persians, and let Israel defend Israel, cuz both would happen.

We sure aren't making any friends by acting like the self appointed king of the world.
